Every day, LGBTQI refugees and asylum seekers face discrimination in employment, housing, healthcare, and education. Many struggle with limited livelihoods, mental health challenges from prolonged displacement, and serious protection risks due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression.
We are actively raising these issues with decision-makers, demanding greater inclusion and safer pathways because no one should be denied safety or opportunity simply for who they are.
Together, we advocate. Together, we create change. 💪🏳️‍🌈

Every harvest helps provide fresh, nutritious vegetables to LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers within our community, many of whom face food insecurity, unemployment, and limited access to basic necessities.
By growing our own food, we are not only reducing hunger but also creating opportunities for members to learn agricultural skills, work together, and build self-reliance. Every seed planted is a step toward dignity, healing, and a stronger community.
We are grateful to our volunteers, members, and supporters who continue to make this initiative possible. Together, we are proving that sustainable solutions can transform lives.

Saturday was dedicated to mental wellness. 💚

This past Saturday, Freedom House Initiative held a mental health and wellness session with our refugee and asylum seeker community. Through guided wellness activities, movement and peer interaction, participants had the opportunity to relax, reconnect and prioritize their mental well-being in a safe and supportive environment.

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. By creating spaces for healing, connection and hope, we continue to support the resilience and well-being of the communities we serve.

Together, we heal. Together, we thrive.
