🏉🌍 LAMU7s 2025 – Rugby Meets Tourism & Sustainability! 🌿✨

This weekend, Waridi Foundation proudly hosted the 4th edition of Lamu7s Rugby Tournament on World Tourism Day a celebration of sport, culture, and sustainability. 🎉

🔥 Malindi Turtles defended their title with a 12–0 win, walking away with Ksh. 20,000, while the other teams each received Ksh. 5,000 for their efforts. Over 1,000 fans turned up proof that rugby is growing strong in Lamu! 💪

Special thanks to our Chief Guest Deputy Governor Dr. Mubarak and Hon. Ndegwa, who pledged county support with rugby kits and equipment, and to Coast legend Susumila who kept the crowd on fire! 🎶

Beyond rugby, the initiative Plant & Play 🌱 thrived , planting 5,000 mangroves, cleaning up town, and showcasing Lamu as a one-stop tourism destination from the island’s sandy beaches to Pangani forest and Lake Kenyatta’s 126 bird species. 🦜🌊

Waridi Foundation will keep investing in talent, tourism, and sustainability because Lamu Got It All! 💚
