North Coast Conservation (NCC)is a not-for-profit limited-liability,Kenyan registered that was set up to run the operations of NRT-Coast. NRT-Coast is a brand name of NCC, which is an operational unit of the overall Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT). NCC (NRT-Coast) was established to support existing and emerging community conservancies in the North Coast of Kenya by providing technical support and

financing for their development. Since its formation more than 10 years ago, Northern Rangelands Trust has grown significantly to over 28 community wildlife conservancy members with 23 more communities wanting to join. Lamu, Ijara and Tana River region has grown in terms of creation of new conservancies culminating into the development of NRT-Coast. The principle members of NRT-Coast are drawn from of the following community conservancies: IshaqbiniHirola;Ndera; Lower Tana Delta;Hanshak-Nyongoro;Awer; Pate Marine and;KiungaMarine
