In 2021, just after COVID, this beautiful portrait by vanessagarwood was exhibited at Peponi Hotel, Lamu, Kenya . Through the generosity of our community, the artwork was sold, and the proceeds helped us purchase the piece of land that is now Ubunifu Art Center.
This painting reminds us that art has the power to build more than inspiration it can build futures.
Today, that dream continues to grow. On this land, we are building our Ubunifu Fashion House & Teachers’ Quarter a space where young creatives can learn, create, and dream bigger.
We believe in the power of collaboration, community, and creativity. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing our construction journey and how you can help us complete this vision.
