Join Safari Doctors and Pamoja Initiative founder Umra Omar as she takes us through the incredible impact of the Pamoja Initiative, a proud consortium partner of SafariDoctors in Lamu County! Together, we are turning the archipelago into a true hub of opportunity through three core pillars: Sports, Education, and Leadership.

From the innovative CBC curriculum and talent nurturing at Shamba la Shela Primary School to launching health rights and first aid clubs across 50 public schools, the impact on the ground is undeniable.

But it goes even deeper. In a region facing complex challenges with youth radicalization and drug prevalence, Pamoja is investing heavily in sports as a sanctuary for peace and unity. Through targeted soccer tournaments and swimming programs, they’ve trained over 1,350 kids—focusing heavily on giving young girls equal access to life-saving skills.

Shamba la Shela takes Mombasa! 🥋🎶
​What an incredible week of triumphs, learning, and unforgettable memories! Our students shone bright at the All Kenyan Schools Music Festival, taking #1 in Lamu County and #2 in the Coast Region with their stunning Arabic Dance! 🏆🌟
​Over on the mats, Caleb Ndurya Thoya dominated the Karate Championship, bringing home:
🥇 Gold Medal in Kumite (Number 1!)
🥉 Bronze Medal in Kata (Number 3!)
​To celebrate these massive achievements, the kids enjoyed a well-deserved, fun-filled educational day at Haller Park—feeding giraffes and meeting giant tortoises! 🦒🐢
