Nyalenda Young Turks Community Based Organization is taking part in a three-day Holistic Security Management Training for Human Rights Defenders and civil society organisations,The engagement focuses on strengthening the safety and resilience through risk and threat assessment, security measures, digital security, account protection, encryption, secure browsing, password management, and mental health and self-care,The training will strengthen our capacity to identify and respond to security risks, improve digital and organizational safety practices, and enhance personal resilience and self-care in our community and human rights work.

Nyalenda Young Turks CBO joined partners and young people in Seme Sub-County to commemorate International Youth Day 2026. The event provided a platform to celebrate youth contributions and discuss issues affecting young people, including leadership, health, livelihoods, opportunities, and civic engagement.

The engagement brought together different youth groups, organizations, and stakeholders, creating a space for young people to share their experiences, perspectives, and aspirations. It also highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for meaningful youth participation in community development.

The Health Department in collaboration with Tiko Kenya and Nyalenda Young Turks Community Based Organization , yesterday hosted an impactful sensitization session for young people aged 15 to 24.

This joint initiative focuses on equipping adolescents with essential health knowledge, creating supportive community networks and ensuring every young person has access to youth-friendly healthcare choices.

โ€‹The session tackled key health priorities head-on, specifically addressing the "Triple Threat" which includes new HIV infections, gender-based violence (GBV) and teenage pregnancies.

Participants actively engaged in open conversations about combination prevention strategies while also diving into crucial, often-overlooked topics like mental health awareness, emotional well-being and resisting drug and substance abuse.

โ€‹Through the Take 2 campaign, the initiative is empowering young people to actively take control of their health journeys. Adolescents are encouraged to be confident healthcare consumers who ask for more than two services during every health facility visitโ€”whether pairing HIV testing services (HTS) with modern contraceptives, STI screening or counseling.

Together, we are ensuring our youth receive holistic, non-judgmental and comprehensive care under one roof.

3. We are the top performing Tiko kenya CBO for a number of years.

4. Through GDI training we have an effective community mobilizers management system.

5. Our programming model is shifting to the skilling & livelihood model.

6. Our core strengths are : community mobilization, Partnership / collaboration & fundraising.

7. We value quality work not quantity work.

8. We value Gradual & sustainable development model.

9. Most of our programs targets vulnerable communities.
