With Roselyne Belinda, the Founder & Director of Belinda Toto Media, this milestone marks the beginning of a vision that has lived in her heart for many years, a vision to educate, inspire, and empower children through comics, books, educational multimedia, storytelling, and community-based learning, in Africa. Roselyne Belinda
Our goal is to raise a generation of children who are informed, creative, compassionate, and confident enough to become responsible citizens and future leaders. Through engaging and age-appropriate educational content, BTM will address important topics including literacy, health, environmental conservation, life skills, leadership, child protection, mental well-being, and the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, including helping children and families understand healthy, respectful relationships.
We welcome partnerships with educators, illustrators, writers, healthcare professionals, researchers, schools, organizations, and individuals who share our passion for nurturing children and strengthening families.

A special thank you to Mavuno Church Kisumu, our Affiliate Pastors, Pastor Ishmael Shem, Pastor Caroline Ogweno, Pastor Matthew Abongo and Bishop Kennedy Onduto, who graciously dedicated this vision to God through prayer. Your encouragement and spiritual support mean more than words can express.

We are equally grateful to our volunteers, Maseno University and Great Lakes University students, global family, friends, partners, and well-wishers whose presence, ideas, and encouragement reminded us that every meaningful journey begins with people who believe in the vision.

This launch is not the finish line, it is the first chapter of a much bigger story.

We welcome partnerships with educators, illustrators, writers, healthcare professionals, researchers, schools, organizations, and individuals who share our passion for nurturing children and strengthening families.

Together, we can build a generation that reads with purpose, thinks critically, creates boldly, and grows in safe, healthy, and hopeful communities.

Thank you for believing in Belinda Toto Media.

We are delighted to announce the successful Dedication Prayers and Official Launch of Belinda Toto Media (BTM), our child-focused initiative committed to educating, inspiring, and empowering children through books, comics, educational media, and community-based learning.

The launch brought together leaders, professionals, students, faith leaders, and community members who shared in this important milestone and reaffirmed the importance of investing in children's knowledge, creativity, and future.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended, prayed with us, volunteered their time, and encouraged this vision. Your support reminds us that meaningful change begins when communities come together around a shared purpose.

This launch marks the beginning of a journey. As we move forward, Belinda Toto Media will work alongside families, schools, hospitals, volunteers, caregivers, and partners to create engaging educational resources that nurture confident, informed, and compassionate children.

Together, we are raising a generation that reads, imagines, creates, and leads, in a fun way!

As we marked the successful conclusion of the SAWA Young Women Leadership Training, and we are deeply honored to have been part of this transformative journey.

On our final day, we engaged in critical conversations around:
▪︎Basic concepts in gender
▪︎ The reality that many GBV cases at home go unreported
▪︎ The Kenya TFGBV Landscape Assessment findings
▪︎ Understanding Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV)
▪︎Common tactics used in perpetrating TFGBV through paid influencers and political intimidation

These discussions reminded us that violence against women is evolving beyond physical spaces and increasingly affecting women online, in leadership spaces, and within communities through intimidation, silence, harassment, and misinformation.

As Slum Women Foundation, these conversations strongly connect with our mission of advocating against violence against women, including marital r**e, and creating safer spaces where women can speak, heal, participate, and lead without fear.

This may be the end of the training phase, but it is the beginning of mentorship, action, and intentional leadership.

The journey continues!

Today, we proudly participated in the SAWA Young Women Leadership Training under the Strengthening Action and Women Agency (SAWA) project by Dreams Redefined Organization.

As an organization working closely with women and girls affected by violence, including marital r**e and other forms of gender-based abuse, we understand that leadership is not only about occupying political seats. It is about creating safe spaces where women can speak, heal, influence policy, and demand justice without fear or shame.

Today’s sessions on leadership, gender rights, personal agency, and political participation reminded us that many harmful practices continue because women have historically been excluded from decision-making spaces. When women lead, conversations around consent, dignity, bodily autonomy, mental health, economic empowerment, and protection from violence become impossible to ignore.

At Slum Women Foundation, we remain committed to raising women leaders who are bold enough to challenge silence, harmful norms, and systems that continue to fail survivors.

The future of leadership must include women from the grassroots, survivors, young mothers, women with disabilities, and every woman whose voice has been silenced for too long.

We are learning.
We are growing.
We are organizing.
And we are leading.
