Today we played host to 21 male youths from Makogilo area of Kondele Ward who were keen to share their experiences and have us learn together. Central to our discussion was the place of social enterprise in improving the livelihoods and social life of young people.

Today, we convened with members of our Centre to review and pass the resolutions of the Youth Climate Action Accelerator Project. This milestone reflects our collective commitment to advancing youth-led climate initiatives and creating sustainable solutions within our community.

Together, we are strengthening our voice, our vision, and our action for a greener future. 🌱

We made a courtesy visit to Safari Self Help Group during their meeting held at Makogilo area in Kondele Ward.

We were impressed with the gains the group is making both to their individual members and as a collective. Of concern, the group was able to detail how insecurity has been their biggest threat as they try to advance their investments and sustainability.

We are keen at building a multi-stakeholder platform to address the issue of rising insecurity in Kondele Ward. We believe that young people, if well guided, are able to keep away from crime and engage in meaningful livelihoods opportunities.

Last week, Kondele Social Justice Centre participated in a two-day training on Human Rights and Protests organized by the Amnesty team at Victoria Comfort Inn. The training enhanced the capacity of Human Rights Defenders, youth and community members on human rights, peaceful civic engagement, public participation and protest observation, documentation and reporting. Participants also explored lawful approaches to civic action and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting and protecting human rights within their communities.
