FreeKenya Foundation

FreeKenya Foundation FreeKenya Foundation, Partner in Agribusiness. FreeKenya is a facilitator in the development of value chains in Agribusiness.

FreeKenya Foundation (FKF) is established in the Netherlands in 2006 and registered as a
Kenyan international NGO in 2012, with office in Kisumu. Working together
with local communities in Kenya since 2007 and having a well driven team of experienced
agricultural experts, FreeKenya understands the challenges farmers are undergoing including
the youth. A simple observation reveals that a lot of fer

tile land lays idle and is underutilized,
while the levels of poverty remain high. It is known that agriculture is the backbone of Kenya’s economy, and people do have land but
lack access to the basics, like agribusiness skills, quality inputs and innovative equipment,
finances and markets to use their effectively. To break this circle, FreeKenya encourages current and young farmers to do farming as a
business thus transform their land into a MoneyGardenTM with environmental conservation
principles. This concept is an integrated approach in agribusiness and agro forestry to convert a
household with land, in a sustainable and profitable farm. The other two pillars are (safe) water for
human consumption and irrigation, secondly renewable energy.
