Yesterday, 26/5/2026, stakeholders convened for the Quarterly Triple Threat TWG Meeting in Kisumu County to strengthen coordination and accelerate action against teenage pregnancies, new HIV infections, and gender-based violence among young people.
The TWG meeting resolved to advance collective action on school retention, re-entry, and protection of adolescent girls and young people. Key discussions focused on the localization and implementation of the School Re-entry Circular, ensuring it translates into practical support at the community and school levels.
The meeting also highlighted the popularization of the Basic Education Learner Re-entry and Retention Tracking (BLRRT) Tool as a key mechanism for monitoring learner retention, supporting re-admission processes, and strengthening referral and follow-up systems for vulnerable adolescents.
Together with the National Council for Population and Development, Center for Reproductive Rights INUKA for Community ORG, Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Come Initiative, Health and Economic development strategy Organization (HEDSO) and Nyanza Initiative For Girls' Education And Empowerment (NIGEE), partners reaffirmed their commitment to creating safe, supportive, and inclusive environments where every adolescent has the opportunity to learn, return, and thrive.
