Mazingira Shwari

Mazingira Shwari At Mazingira Shwari, we believe that a greener community is a healthier and more empowered community. It carries toxic impacts throughout its lifecycle.

That’s why our main initiative is: Kitchen Garden Initiative. TO RECYCLE OR STOP AT THE SOURCE

Plastic’s contribution to universal greenhouse gas emissions and climate change and is a pollutant of exceptional concern, as it does not break down quickly and instead build up in the environment as more is generated. Measure has to be taken for both developed and developing countries. We have NO choic

e but to counter. We should encourage the urban people to put in use plastic bottles as they are the heavy consumers of plastics compared to the rural dwellers, HOW? Where there is a problem there must be a solution. Plastic has adverse effect on our environment. TREES ON ENVIRONMENT-TO PLANT OR DESTROY

Let us plant more and more trees and reduce carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in order to tackle climate crisis. To everyone, (globally) we can plant trees without encroaching on crop land or urban areas. When these trees grow they absorb and store the carbon dioxide emissions that are driving global heating. I personal encourage everyone to plant something in the backyard, in front of the house and any other suitable place. Planting flowers, trees and vegetables is very important NOW. WATER IS A COMPONENT OF THE ANSWER IN CLIMATE CHANGE. Climate change is affecting and will continue to affect water access in the world causing more severe droughts and floods we should put proper mitigation measures, because the changes are interrupting weather patterns, leading to tremendous weather occurrences, irregular water accessibility, aggravating water shortage and contaminating water supplies. Such impacts can severely influence the amount and quality of water that children need to survive. Acute weather events and changes in water sequence patterns are making it more intricate to access safe drinking water, particularly for the most susceptible children, who exists in regions of high or tremendously high water vulnerability, this signifies they do not have adequate water to meet their daily needs. When disasters like flooding, Earthquakes happens, they can devastate or contaminate entire water supplies, escalating the threat of diseases like cholera, typhoid, diarrhea and intestinal infections to which children are particularly vulnerable. Increasing temperatures can lead to lethal pathogens in freshwater sources, making the water hazardous for people to drink. Contaminated water poses a huge threat to children’s lives. Water and sanitation related diseases are one of the leading causes of death in children under 5 years old.
• Climate change will have its most direct impact on child survival through three direct channels: changing disease environments, greater food insecurity, and threats to water and sanitation. (UNICEF, 2019).
