Kisumu, Kenya is home to a revolutionary musician who is shattering cultural barriers and reclaiming a powerful part of her heritage!

Meet ATI SANNA (Jennifer Atieno Sanna), the phenomenal artist from Kisumu who has bravely become one of the first and most prominent female players of the Nyatiti. This traditional Luo lyre was historically reserved exclusively for men.

The Nyatiti is not just an instrument; it is a cultural vessel, and for years, women were culturally barred from even touching it. Ati Sanna defied the naysayers, the traditionalists, and the chauvinists who questioned her sanity and her place.

Through sheer passion, skill, and cultural pride, Ati Sanna mastered the 8-stringed instrument, captivating audiences across Kenya and beyond.

This is more than music—it's a story of , , and challenging the norms right here in the heart of Kenya!

Join us in celebrating this incredible breakthrough artist!
