Partners in Community Transformation (PCT)-Pamoja CBO Partners in Community Transformation (PiCT) is a grass-roots community empowerment organization in Kenya registered under the registrar of societies board.

We are passionate about helping communities develop the skills they need to make positive changes for themselves. We work through local self-help groups, CBOs, local administration, and government ministries with the mandate to: 1) enhance the capacity of communities to: assess their strengths, capabilities, and resources; assess and prioritize their needs; leverage additional resources to meet ne

Commemoration of Menstrual Hygiene Management Day 2026 at Orando Secondary School
The event focused on creating awareness and promoting open conversations around menstrual health and hygiene. Discussions covered:
• Understanding menstruation
• Facts and myths about menstruation
• Menstrual hygiene and safe disposal practices
• Breaking stigma and normalizing menstrual health conversations
• Linking menstrual health to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
• Engaging boys as champions for menstrual health
We also explored the impact of period poverty and how limited access to sanitary products increases girls’ vulnerability to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). Participants discussed sustainable solutions such as reusable sanitary pads and menstrual cups.
The session further emphasized the need for safe, private, and period-friendly spaces in schools, with students and teachers encouraged to play an active role in supporting menstrual health. Demonstrations on the proper use of different menstrual products were also conducted.

During the launch of the Mental Health Club at Maliera and St Georges Sianda Sec Schools, key discussions focused on promoting mental wellness and mindfulness among students. Participants explored practical ways of balancing academic life while maintaining good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
The session also highlighted the important role of the club as a support system within schools, helping to reduce cases of su***de, depression, and drug and substance abuse among students.
In addition, the club aims to empower learners by nurturing their communication, confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills, creating a safe and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
