Mama Ngina children’s Home-Kisumu

We commend the National Government for its swift response in addressing safety concerns at Mama Ngina Children’s Home following last week’s fire that destroyed their boarding section.

Hosted the Principal Secretary for Children Services, Hon. Carren Ageng'o, during a courtesy call , where we reviewed the progress of rehabilitation efforts and immediate interventions required to restore normalcy at the institution.

Established in 1965 as a public institution, Mama Ngina children’s Home-Kisumu has, for decades, stood as a sanctuary of hope and refuge for vulnerable children.

Our administration fully supports the national government’s plan to relocate the facility to a safer and more secure location , ensuring a stable and protected environment for the vulnerable children.

Joining the discussions were County Commissioner Benson Leparmorijo, CECMs Farida Salim, John Awiti, Chief of Staff Aloice Ager,Protocol Director Bob Madanji, Mama Ngina Children’s Home Center Manager Hellen Apiyo amongst other officials.

After the STORM there is CALM….. the lifting has been heavy but God left me his promise of everlasting love in the debris… Jeremiah 31…. If there has been any reason to doubt God, I have none whatsoever after the message he left behind.

Thank you REACH Ministries for coming to restore our faith through Pastor Jim and his wife Cleo ministered the word to us at Mama Ngina children’s Home-Kisumu .

God is indeed faithful and his mercy endures forever.

The Nyakamami Foundation under the Patronage of HonH.E Ruth Odinga visited the family of Mama Ngina children’s Home-Kisumu . This was the second visit to the home post the fire trauma.

A special thank you to Lake Basin Development Authority for coming to empathize with us after the fire that razed down our Hostels.

We were happy to receive Director Ms Christine Otieno and Mr Andrew Osoro along side their dedicated team.

This is to wish each and every one who supported us the Mama Ngina children’s Home-Kisumu through the year 2024. You were many… and you stayed true and dear. It was indeed a great year of love and thanksgiving coming from dedicated staff and well wishers.

As we step into the new year we pray restoration and rentention…

Yes…..”he makes all things beautiful in his time”. He has done it for me and my children yet again!!!!

Off to school we all go… dressed by from head to toe! School fees for our children paid by BAMU alumni India - Kisumu chapter.
May goodness and mercy follow each and every one who supported the babies last year.
