Change is a constant part of human life, and every generation has a responsibility to shape it in ways that minimize conflicts and maximize positive outcomes for all. This underscores the growing need to embrace approaches that promote dialogue, inclusion, and win-win solutions when addressing challenges within our communities and institutions.
As we engaged Integrity Club members from ICS Technical College Kisumu yesterday on the subject of advocacy, we were clear from the onset that this was a powerful tool for driving constructive change. Advocacy not only empowers individuals to raise awareness on issues affecting their communities and institutions but also equips them with the skills to influence policies, promote accountability, and foster collaboration among different stakeholders. When approached responsibly, it creates space for meaningful participation, encourages mutual understanding, and helps transform challenges into opportunities for collective progress. Through advocacy, young people can become catalysts for sustainable solutions that strengthen institutions and contribute to a more inclusive and harmonious society.

Our journey of imparting integrity nuggets continued early this week (13th and 14th) as we engaged students from KCA University Western Campus-Kisumu and Technical College - Kisumu in an impactful leadership and integrity session under the Integrity360 Project, which is being implemented as part of the larger TUNU Project. The session focused on promoting ethical leadership, personal accountability, responsible decision-making, transparency, and values-based leadership among young people. We also explored the important role that students and youth play in fostering a culture of integrity within their institutions and communities. It was an engaging and insightful interaction, with students actively participating, sharing experiences, and discussing practical ways of becoming ethical, responsible, and transformative leaders in their institutions and the society at large.

Yesterday we joined Dreams Redefined Organization during the launch of the Resilient Pathways: Empowering Communities Amid Climate Mobility Project being implemented in Nyalenda, Kisumu County.

The meeting brought together County Government of Kisumu officials from Gender, Climate Change and Health departments, NGAO representatives, community leaders, civil society organizations, and several youth and women groups.

Key concern of the project is to address the ever growing impact of climate change particularly in informal settlements. These areas are routinely getting negatively impacted by flooding, poor waste management, and limited livelihood opportunities which disproportionately affect their wellbeing and heighten their vulnerability and coping mechanisms.

We look foward to continued partnership with the project team to ensure we build resilience and sustainable livelihoods within the targeted communities.

Yesterday we held our inaugural capacity building session at Technical College Kisumu under the Integrity360 project that we are implementing under the larger Tupigane na Ufisadi (TUNU) project. TUNU project us implemented through the partnership of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Kenia, Tisa Kenya and TI-Kenya with support from the European Union in Kenya

Special thanks goes to our partners Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for not only joining us but ably facilitating this opening session.
The students were excited and left better and more impacted than how they came into the meeting. Block by block, we are moving on and causing the waves of change to move.
