📢Join us for the 4th Annual NYALENDA PERIOD FESTIVAL 2026 as we commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Management Day 2026 and champion dignity, access, and equality for every girl.

Expect bold, stigma-breaking conversations, access to menstrual products, practical health education, and powerful advocacy for girls’ education—all brought to life through spoken word, theatre, music, and creative exhibitions that amplify community voices.

For the past 3 festivals, this impact has only been possible because of you—our partners. Your support, collaboration, and belief in girls’ dignity have helped us reach approximately 600 girls and young women each year with dignity packs lasting up to 6 months, keeping them in school and thriving.

As we step into the 4th edition, we celebrate you and invite you to continue walking this journey with us. Your partnership is not just appreciated—it is essential.

Spearheaded by Dreams Redefined Organization and driven by the community, this festival brings together girls and young women, parents, teachers, leaders, and partners to take action.

Earlier today we engaged adolescent girls and boys in a powerful community dialogue on comprehensive sexual education at Nyalenda B, pharmacy.We brought together adolescents to engage in an open,action driven conversation. SRHR is more than just information but it's about empowering adolescents and youths to Make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health, with the aim of building momentum in our efforts to reduce HIV infections and teenage pregnancies and sexual and SGBV in our community.

Earlier today, we were privileged to take part in the SJC-WG Western Chapter's regional convention at Holo,Kisumu County.
The Western Chapter also took this opportunity to officially launch Ubuntu Village at Lwala Kadawa. This is a milestone for us in the civic space.

Ubuntu Village presents a space for human rights defenders to unwind, reflect, organize, strategize and enjoy HRD wellness and Economy.

The Kisumu County Sexual Reproductive Health Festival 2026. Hosted By Dreams Redefined Organization Kisumu County Gender Sector Working Group

Young women bravely spoke out, shared their realities, and demanded access to accurate information and quality reproductive health services. From safe abortion and post-abortion care to correct contraceptive use, the conversations were honest, necessary, and long overdue.

We must break the silence, challenge stigma, and dismantle harmful norms. Our bodies, our rights, our voices ,we will not be ignored. ✊🏾

The conversation was centred around Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Abortion rights, bodily autonomy.

Breaking Silence, Shifting Norms: Using Art to Advance Reproductive Health.

Tommorrow, 24th March 2026, Dreams Redefined CBO, through the Afya Yetu, Haki Yetu Project, invites you to the Kisumu County SRHR Festival at Nyalenda Health and Wellness Centre Grounds.

This youth-led festival is a bold step toward advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) - creating a safe, vibrant space where young women can speak, be heard, and lead change.

Unsafe abortion, stigma, and limited access to SRHR information continue to affect many in our communities - but young people are rising, organizing, and demanding dignity, justice, and access.

🎭 Through art, storytelling, and dialogue, we will:
✔️Challenge harmful norms and break the silence
✔️Amplify lived experiences of young women
✔️Spark honest, intergenerational conversations
✔️Connect communities to SRHR information and services
✔️Drive a youth-led agenda for policy and social change

✨ Expect powerful performances, photovoice exhibitions, and community dialogue spaces designed to inspire action and shift mindsets.

This is more than a festival. It’s a movement for reproductive justice, dignity, and rights.

Today we celebrate International Human Rights Day.
Led and facilitated by International Justice Mission (IJM) in collaboration with the Judiciary, LSK, NGAO, NPS, ODPP, IPOA, KNCHR, SJCs and CPCs.

THEME *HUMAN RIGHTS: OUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIAL*

VENUE: OGINGA ODINGA SPORTS GROUND.

It shall be an open day with the Judiciary and Human Rights actors.

Members of public invited.
Public members with;

1. Cases that has dragged so long in courts.
2. Cases that were not taken to court for a long time
3. Cases that were not reported out of fear
4. Prolonged land cases
5. Cases of torture and harassment
6. Pending cases at IPOA
7. Corruption and Governance cases still pending in court
8. Cases of unsettled claims
Any other issues that might require answers or clarification from duty bearers out of court.

If you have a case or a person with similar cases within the jurisdiction of Kisumu High court and county kindly come to SportsGround.
