Last week, we held Mind & Verse in partnership with Ms Muyoka Yaolah in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.

It was an evening of honest conversations, poetry readings and reflections.
We lit candles.
For the ones we lost to the quiet battles in their minds.
For those still holding on.
For the light we’re trying to be, for ourselves and each other.

Mental health is real. It's personal. And it matters.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened, shared, and created a safe space with us.

One of the most powerful moments at She’s Free was when we wrote secret love notes filled with affirmations for a fellow queen.
Pure, honest words to lift each other higher.
Because sometimes, a reminder from a sister who sees your light can change everything.
We are not alone. We are never alone.

She's Free 2025.

She's Free 2025!
What a beautiful space of healing, learning, and unbreakable sisterhood.

Under this year’s theme, “Unpack, Tell Your Story,” we created a space where every woman could speak her truth, without fear, without shame.

We dived deep into real conversations on mental health, the fight to end SGBV, and the urgent call to stop femicide. We held space for each other’s stories, we cried, we laughed, we danced, we ate, we sang, we healed.
Through meditation, therapy sessions, and art therapy, we found new ways to breathe, to express, to begin again. We painted our pain, our dreams, our freedom. We unpacked what was heavy and we made room for hope.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, who dared to be vulnerable, and who chose healing.

We will keep fighting.
We will keep healing.
We will keep rising.

She’s Free and her freedom is contagious!

To our partners, Young Women's Leadership Institute and Lake Region Womxn Health and Equal Rights CBO -Larwher, thank you for helping us unpack and share our stories.

Closing Women’s Month with Power, Sisterhood & Tea! ☕✨

What a way to wrap up March! Chai & Chats was a beautiful reminder that the fight for gender justice never pauses—but neither should our well-being. As we gathered with phenomenal women leaders from all walks of life, we laughed, learned, and leaned on each other, embracing the balance between advocacy and self-care.

We took time to center ourselves through meditation, breathing exercises, and body mapping, reconnecting with our strength and purpose. And in a moment of pure sisterhood, we wrote each other affirming love notes to power us up for the journey ahead.

At Sister Darling, we know that change starts with conversations, and this one was a heart-warmer! From deep dives into mental wellness to reflections on our roles in the movement, every moment was a reminder that we are stronger together.

To all who showed up, spoke up, and filled the room with energy and held space for one another, thank you.

Healing from violence? Whew, it’s a whole rollercoaster—carrying trauma, battling self-doubt, fearing the “what ifs,” and sometimes even blaming yourself (but spoiler alert: it was NEVER your fault). It’s heavy, sis, we know.

That’s why this year’s She's Free, happening on April 26th, is all about UNPACKING.
And how do we do that? By telling our stories. By letting it out. By holding space for each other.

This time, we’re keeping it intimate, only 50 women. So if you’re ready to breathe a little easier, book your spot early!

And you know the drill: healing, but make it stylish! This year, we’re showing up in denim, because there's a whole story behind it (and you already know we’ll spill all the tea soon).

We truly hope to see you there.
Let's unpack together.
