Anti-Corruption Day @2025
Manyatta Primary School, Kisumu

Theme: Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity
Organizers: KISSCA (led by Ken Ajenjo) in partnership with CSO network and Kisumu County Governments.
Key Activities:
- Speeches and official opening
- Student essay contests, drama skits, and debates on corruption
- Integrity pledge and tree-planting ceremony
- Community dialogue with parents and local leaders
- Over 500 participants (mainly pupils, CSO Networks and residents of Manyatta )
Significance of the Day
International Anti-Corruption Day reminds the world that corruption steals from the poor, weakens institutions, and denies youth equal opportunities. The 2025 focus on youth recognizes them as both the most affected victims and the strongest agents of change.
Importance to Kisumu Community
- Instills ethical values in children at an early age
- Empowers youth in informal settlements to demand transparency
- Strengthens community trust in reporting corruption without fear
- Supports better use of devolved funds for schools, water, and health services
- Builds tomorrow’s honest leaders from today’s pupils

Over the past two days, our team at Kadibo Innovation Resource Social Justice and Information (KIRSJI) joined Kisumu Social Accountability Network on a training on Social Accountability and Public Contracting under the TUNU Project.
The sessions was facilitated by TOT Nicholus from the Homa Bay Network and held at Bishop Okullu Synod Hall, Old St. Stephen’s ACK Cathedral Compound, Kisumu City.
This training has strengthened our capacity to:
Promote transparent governance
Enhance public participation
Support communities to monitor public projects
Advocate for accountability and better service delivery
We are grateful for this opportunity to deepen our skills and continue empowering the people of Kadibo Sub-County with information, voice, and justice.

Statement of Condolence from Kadibo Innovation Resource Social Justice Organization
In this hour of profound national sorrow, Kenya bows its head in tribute to the extraordinary life and enduring spirit of Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, who departed this world today at the age of 80. A towering patriot, a prophetic visionary, and the unassailable architect of our nation's democratic dawn, Baba Odinga's odyssey was etched in the fires of unbridled courage, selfless sacrifice, and an unbreakable faith in the sanctity of justice, the dignity of equality, and the indomitable might of the collective will. For over half a century, he amplified the whispers of the marginalized, waged unrelenting battles for the restoration of multiparty democracy, and kindled the flames of hope in countless souls, urging them to envision and fight for a Kenya unbound by chains, radiant with equity and promise.
At Kadibo Innovation Resource Social Justice Organization, where the pillars of democracy, ethical governance, and empowered civic engagement form the bedrock of our mission, we stand in reverent awe of Raila Odinga's indelible legacy. His lifelong devotion to the public good and his fierce crusade for a transformed Kenya illuminate our path like a beacon through the gathering storms, inspiring every advocate, innovator, and justice-seeker to press onward with renewed resolve.

Today, Comrade Jayden and Gloria from Kadibo Social Justice Centre joined fellow Kenyans in marking Mazigira Day at Lela Primary School, located in Kombura Location, Kobura Ward, Kadibo Sub-County, Kisumu County.

The celebration was graced by the Kadibo Assistant County Commissioner, the Sub-County Director of Education, and several proud alumni of Lela Primary School.

As a Social Justice Centre, we were delighted to contribute 30 tree seedlings and continue supporting the growth of bamboo within the school as part of our commitment to environmental conservation and community empowerment. 🌱💪

Today, Kenya commemorates 15 years since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution — a defining moment in our history that strengthened governance, rights, and public participation.
Key Milestones Achieved:

1. Devolution has brought essential services closer to the people.
2. Public participation has enhanced inclusivity in decision-making.
3. Human rights, gender equality, and representation have been strengthened.
4. Accountability and the rule of law have been reinforced.

⚖️ Ongoing Challenges
Full realization of social and economic rights for all Kenyans.

1. Tackling corruption and misuse of public resources.
2. Enhancing youth and women inclusion in leadership.
3. Bridging the gap between constitutional ideals and everyday community realities.

As a Center, we continue to:

1. Promote civic education on rights and responsibilities.
2. Facilitate public participation in governance and budget processes.
3. Work with communities and partners to uphold justice, equity, and accountability.
15 years of, the Constitution has remains a beacon of hope, democracy, and dignity for every Kenyan.

Today we had a On training session at Jumia Hotel in Kisumu County, bringing together entrepreneurs from across the Western region. The training was facilitated under the leadership of Mr. Collins, Mr. Dancan, and Ms. Grace.
The objective of the training was to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurs in making sound business investments that contribute to long-term sustainability. A critical component of the discussions centered on climate change adaptation, highlighting the importance of aligning business models with environmental sustainability while supporting community development.
Participants gained valuable insights on how to integrate resilience into their enterprises, ensuring that businesses not only remain profitable but also serve as pillars for community empowerment and environmental protection.
