Funding raised by the Start-ups in Africa by July 2024.
For the first time the new sector is leading the pack and that's Logistics and Transport with 28%($218m) that now has overpassed Fintech which is only at 23%($186m). Fintech has been really the leading sector always about 30% for the past couple of years. 3rd is energy and water at 17% (132m) with agri food just below 10%($74m)
Kenya start-ups managed to raise $224m, followed by Nigeria at $ 182m and Egypt %101m.
