The 1st Activity of our Haki Mtaani Project for this quarter was held yesterday at Gesoko Market where a section of the Youths, Women and traders got an opportunity to openly speak on issues affecting them. Several issues were raised;
1.Insecurity
2.Unfinished Construction of the Sewer line
3.Residents who don't have Voters Card for the area.
4.The Unfinished Odhech -Oduk Road
5.Poor drainage Systems amongst others
The residents applauded the initiative by the centre to reach out to them for this inaugural meeting and requested that it should be a monthly activity so that the residents can get an opportunity to speak freely on issues affecting them and collectively look for possible solutions.

26th May 2026 !
In a celebratory mood and energy, the unveiling of our new office marks a new beginning and renewed spirit as we continue to organize, educate and liberate our community on matters of social injustices.
We sincerely thank International Justice Mission IJM Kenya for the support of the refurbished officer container and the willingness to walk the journey with us ..... we are humbled!

Communities cannot be organized fully without inculcating the concept of food security and livelihood empowerment initiatives as an hungry man is an angry person!
Under the leadership of Kisumu County SJCs Caucus, we were ably represented yesterday at the United Destiny Shapers CBO offices in Nyalenda A for a peer learning session on matters of urban farming & food security. We learnt a lot and hope to initiate such life changing initiatives in Manyatta B for the benefit of our community.

Early today our Centre Coordinator hosted Mr. William Agwanda & Mr. Daniel Akodhe, Rapid Response Officers from Red Cross- Kisumu who paid us a courtesy visit at our office to learn more on our community organizing strategies .

The leadership of Kondele Social Justice Center made a courtesy call at our centre where we compared notes on matters of community organizing as well as plan for the official launch of the two new offices which were made possible through the support of IJM Kenya !
