✨ The Power of Female Friendship ✨

What happens when girls learn that they don’t have to walk alone?

In Lauren’s workshop, our girls explored the power of female friendship, relational mindfulness, and relational activism—learning how healthy relationships can become a source of strength, support, courage, and positive change.

Through meaningful conversations and reflection, they were encouraged to listen with intention, understand one another, build supportive friendships, and recognize the impact they can have when they stand together. They explored how the way we relate to one another matters—not only in our closest friendships, but also in how we create spaces where others feel seen, heard, respected, and valued.

The session reminded us that friendship can be more than companionship. It can be a powerful form of connection and collective action, giving girls the confidence to support one another, speak up, navigate challenges together, and contribute positively to their communities. 💛

Because when girls support girls, we don’t just build stronger friendships—we build stronger communities. 🌍✨

From Learning to Leading 🌱

At the DBR Leadership Summit, Joyner discovered that leadership isn’t only about having a title—it’s about how we communicate, how we listen, and how we respond when challenges arise.

Through the workshops, participants explored wise speech, conflict resolution, self-awareness, and the power of using their voices positively.

As Joyner reflected:

“I learned that the way I speak, listen, and respond to conflict can make me a better leader.”

These are the lessons we hope our girls carry beyond the summit—into their schools, families, communities, and future.

🌱 Finding Your Path. Choosing Your Words. Resolving Conflict.

At the DBR Leadership Summit 2026, Coaches Susan, Minji & Ellee led an impactful workshop that reminded our girls that leadership is not only about where you are going—it’s also about how you communicate and how you handle challenges along the way.

From exploring career paths and future possibilities, to understanding the power of wise speech, and learning practical approaches to conflict resolution, the girls were encouraged to think intentionally about the leaders they want to become.

✨ Speak with wisdom.
✨ Handle conflict with courage and respect.

These are skills that go beyond the classroom—they are skills for life.

The DBR Leadership Summit 2026 brought together incredible young people from Kaswanga Girls, Waware Mixed Secondary School, Victoria Friendly Montessori, and St. Joseph’s Girls—each with unique stories, talents, and dreams, yet united by a shared desire to grow as leaders.

Over two inspiring days, they learned from experienced coaches, built meaningful friendships, challenged themselves, and discovered that leadership begins with believing in their own potential.
