This short video captures a moment from our Clean Water Project at St. Anthony Inclusive Comprehensive School in Awasi, Kisumu County.

For many years, the school has faced severe and persistent water shortages that affected the daily lives of the very special children who learn and live there. Access to water is not only about convenience. It shapes hygiene, health, nutrition, and dignity, especially for children with special needs.

In collaboration with Missouri University of Science and Technology Friends and in partnership with Engineers Without Borders USA, a borehole installation project has been completed. This initiative now provides the school and the surrounding community with clean, predictable, and reliable water.

For these children, this means safer learning conditions, improved hygiene, and a stronger foundation for health and well-being.

We remain grateful to everyone who believed in this vision and helped make it possible as we continue working toward communities where every child can grow, thrive, and live with dignity.

This recognition belongs to the farmers, households, and communities we work with every day, reflecting our shared commitment to food security, indigenous knowledge, dietary diversity, and resilient local food systems.

We are grateful to Welthungerhilfe for championing innovation that begins with people and grows through partnership. The future of food is local, and we are honoured to help seed it.

Our Director and colleagues joined the Awasi fraternity at St. Anthony Inclusive School to mark the World Mental Health Awareness Campaign, held alongside the World Porridge and Mazingira Day celebration.

The event was a great success with a lot of community connection, learning, and joy. We marched to raise awareness, planted trees, shared our fortified porridge, and celebrated inclusion and mental well-being with children, caregivers, and the wider community.

We appreciate everyone who made this day impactful. we are happy to share our gallery with you and hope to catch you for the Mashujaa Day celebration.

This week marked a beautiful step forward for our upcoming agricultural journey in Siaya. At JOOUST, we gathered with professors, experts, and partners for a meaningful stakeholder engagement where we shared ideas; building trust, and aligning our vision for what’s ahead.

The day also included a successful inspection by KEPHIS, who confirmed that our preparations meet the highest standards. This milestone brings us one step closer to securing our final approvals, and with that, we’ll be ready to hit the ground running for an exciting project we will soon tell you about.

The energy in the room was electric with farmers, researchers, and community champions coming together for a shared dream for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future for our region.

Earlier this year, Ndaloh participated in the Fortify Forward Innovation Challenge by Nutrition Connect, a global initiative focused on tackling hidden hunger and malnutrition through innovation. The challenge will award $5,000 to ten winners across three categories.

We are incredibly proud to have been ranked among the top 65 innovators, selected from thousands of applicants worldwide.

Our innovation, Supandaloh Flour, has been recognized as a valuable solution in combating anemia and zinc deficiency in our communities and among children in the first 1000 days. This recognition strengthens our commitment to producing bio-fortified foods that nourish and empower.

On Saturday, 26th April 2025, our Director, Erich Midigo, was the Chief Guest at the Voices of Hope Organisation event. It was a beautiful day filled with hope, laughter, and meaningful conversations. 🤍

At the event, discussions centred around the power of community-driven solutions, empowering vulnerable groups, and building sustainable support systems. It was inspiring to connect with passionate individuals all working towards lasting change.

Ndaloh donated food items, including our very own SupaNdaloh Flour, as part of our contribution to the Voices of Hope Organisation, to support their impactful work and the well-being of the children at their facility.

Ndaloh is proud of the leadership and compassion Erich continually demonstrates in representing our mission and values. We need more opportunities to plant seeds of hope and watch them bloom.

Easter reminds us of the power of growth, resilience, and the promise of new beginnings; values we hold close as we work to transform lives through sustainable agriculture and heritage preservation. Just as the rains bring life to our fields, may this season nourish our spirits, strengthen our communities, and renew our shared commitment to a thriving, food-secure future.

May your homes be filled with peace, your hearts with hope, and your farms with fruitful harvests.

Happy Easter!
