Today we visited the Pamoja clinic which is in a remote area of Eastern Kenya. We drove 3 hours from Nairobi yesterday, then today made another 3 hour drive mainly on dirt roads. It was wonderful to meet Stephen the clinical officer, Elijah his assistant and church pastor, and the rest of the team, Jacob, Solomon and Jacqueline. Elijah also introduced us to the Sunday School children - delightful! We also enjoyed the company of Kioko and Paul, pastors and local language speakers, who travelled with us, and Chris, Sue’s second cousin who is visiting Kenya at present. It was a long day, and one that we will long remember. We hope we were able to encourage our friends who serve God and people in need in such a remote place.
