Daraja Mbili Vision Volunteers is an organization committed to improving sustainable health access in Kisii, Nyamira, and Narok counties.

We implement 3 major projects; Comprehensive HIV project, TB project and Action to End Fistula Project.

We conducted a four-day training for Community Health Assistants in Makueni County on the identification, referral, and linkage of women living with Obstetric Fistula to appropriate treatment and management services.

The training was held at Kilimani Breeze, Makueni County, and was implemented in collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and Fistula Foundation
Through this capacity-building initiative, CHAs are better equipped to identify suspected cases at the community level and ensure timely referral and linkage to care contributing to improved maternal health outcomes and restored dignity for affected women.

We successfully convened a 2-day Biannual County-Led Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM) Forum at Magharibi Hotel from 16th–17th December 2025, bringing together adolescent boys and young men to address the Triple Threat;
1. HIV
2. Gender-Based Violence
3. Teenage Pregnancy.

Through open dialogue, mentorship, and knowledge sharing, the forum strengthened young men’s capacity to make informed decisions, promote healthy relationships, and become champions of positive change in their communities.

On December 1st, our team joined the global community in commemorating World AIDS Day through a series of impactful activities focused on awareness, prevention, and support. Guided by the theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” we worked to bring essential services and information closer to the community.

Our activities included:
• Community outreach and awareness dialogues
• HIV testing and counseling services
• Distribution of condoms, PrEP information, and IEC materials
• Youth engagement through education, testimonies, and open discussions
• Collaboration with stakeholders to strengthen local HIV response efforts

With rising HIV infections, especially among adolescents and young adults, we remain committed to promoting prevention, expanding access to services, and eliminating stigma.

As we reflect on this year’s commemoration, we renew our dedication to building a healthier, informed, and empowered community.

Through open dialogues, mentorship sessions, and empowerment activities, we witnessed powerful moments of growth and self-discovery.
Their voices were heard. Their dreams were affirmed. Their leadership was ignited.

This day proved one thing clearly
When you give girls a platform, they create change.

During the orientation of first-year students at Kenya Medical Training College-Kisii campus, our team had the privilege to hold an interactive session on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Together, we created a safe space for dialogue, learning, and empowerment hence shaping future healthcare professionals to be informed and confident.

In line with our commitment to empowering young people, we facilitated a peer-led storytelling session that created space for candid conversations on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). The interactive dialogue not only enabled participants to openly share their experiences and perspectives but also strengthened their awareness of available resources. Following the discussion, the peers accessed essential services at our Youth Wellness Center, reinforcing the importance of linking information with action. As an organization, we remain dedicated to fostering safe, inclusive, and informative platforms where young people can learn, connect, and thrive.

International Youth Week 2025 Highlights.

From 7th to 12th August at Gusii Stadium, youth came together to showcase talent, innovation, and ideas under the theme: “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology & Partnerships.”

It was a week of energy, creativity, and meaningful conversations and we are proud that Daraja Mbili Youth Group played a key role in service provision, ensuring that young people accessed support and resources throughout the event.

A big thank you to all partners, organizers, and the amazing youth who made this celebration impactful. Together, we keep proving that the youth are the backbone of change.

Empowering Peer Educators to Champion Youth Wellness.

We held a sensitization session with peer educators on effective peer education and mobilizing them to support our Youth Wellness Center, where young people can access free Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services.

Through their influence and dedication, peer educators play a vital role in creating safe spaces, sharing accurate information, and linking youth to the services they need to thrive.
