onflict, illiteracy and social-cultural obstacles and traditions have deterred woman progress and the achievement of her full potential. The agenda of WOCEI is to develop and provide innovative, affordable, accessible and pro-poor analytic credit and other business development services and psychosocial mainstreams to women who would want to start and/or grow their businesses, while maintaining a profitable institution operating on sound business principles. We envision a future where our women will be owners of large successful enterprises in Kenya and Africa over.Most African women have been endowed with the family responsibilities....they provide family needs from food, clothing and even school fees for their children. It is unfortunate that African economy is still deteriorating with most families surviving on Us$ 1.5 per day. It is chilling to see many children go hungry. It is pity that most women are single mothers and others have been divorced with life becoming so painful especially on women with Husbands who cane and batter them for no reason. Women in Africa today have started to be involved in SME small scale enterprises that will generate income to help them achieve food, fees and other household demands. Most women though there are micro finance institutions levy high interest rates, demand collateral, securities which become a burden to them in accessing start up capital.Yet they still agonize in poverty for they lack a small amount to start any simple business. Most of the women have been robbed in some circumstances I have personally witnessed... in case of failing to repay the loan their chunky poor homes are looted in the name of recovering the loan.We consider a partner anyone who desires to pray for us, stand in agreement with us and contribute financially as the lord may lead you. The amount and times you give throughout is between you and the Lord. What we do ask is that you pray about what the Lord would have you do and then give as you purpose in your heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, but cheerfully, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor 9:7).
