Once again, we mourn the passing of Robert Ochola, husband to Jane Naitore of the Kenya News Agency - KNA, Kisii. May the Lord comfort and console her and the entire family as Ochola is laid to rest in Kasimba, Oyugis.

Before we have even finished mourning the death of Mekenye Bw'Obara's father, another tragedy has hit our Welfare. Jane Naitore, our member who works for the Kenya News Agency - KNA Kisii, has lost her husband.

​Our Nairobi-based Welfare members, led by our Chairman, Joshua Araka, paid her a visit to condole with her family.

​We send our deepest condolences to Jane, her family, and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Today we condoled with Mekenye Bw'Obara ( of KISII FM 94.1 ) at his home in Motonto, Kisii County. Mekenye lost his dad who has been sick for more than 15 years. We, Gusii Scribes Welfare, say pole to his family and friends for the loss. Losing a parent is painful and leaves a gap that cannot be filled. Pole watu wa Motonto.

His burial will be on Friday. May his soul rest in Christe.

Captured mid-smile, Wakili Danstan Omari raises a crystal plaqueβ€”simple, sincere appreciation.

GUSWA representatives Joshua Araka, Ken Bosire, and Denis Kirwa paid a courtesy visit to his office on Tuesday to thank him for generously offering pro bono legal services to at least 2 members this year.

Danstan was expected to attend our AGM but work commitments made him miss the event.
