Today : He Will Intercede

TODAY’S VERSE
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Romans 8:26 (NIV)

TODAY’S MESSAGE
Have you ever had anyone intercede for you? Sometimes when you are in situation and because of the circumstances, someone else is a better choice to represent your needs. Perhaps a lawyer, customer service representative, a trusted friend or medical professional? When they are qualified and earnest, it is a beautiful thing to watch. When they are inept or insincere, watch out! Now here we are, trying to live our life, one person amongst billions of others. We have great needs but who will help us? Who can understand our plight? Who would care enough for us to do something? More than caring, who would have the power to effect any change? Thank God the Father for His Holy Spirit who intercedes for our weaknesses and needs in this life. Even when we don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit passionately groans and pleads our case to God the Father. What compassion, what mercy. Even now come to God the Father with your hidden secrets, your most perplexing problems, your most heinous sins. The Holy Spirit will intercede for you, and when He does, He will bring peace and deep joy to your heart.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come to You just as I am, desperate and needy for Your touch. I need Your help. You know my situation. I need Your Holy Spirit to intercede for me with groans that I cannot even utter. Holy Spirit, guide me, direct me, fill me with Your peace and power. I pray this in the name of Jesus.
AMEN

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al Zaidi has appealed to Christians living abroad to return to Iraq, describing their homecoming as a national priority and pledging government support to help rebuild the country’s historic Christian presence.

During a meeting with Chaldean Patriarch Paul III Nona, al Zaidi said that Christian families who return would be eligible for Iraq’s one-million residential land plot initiative. He emphasized that Iraq's strength lies in its ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity, calling Christians “an active and essential component” of society whose contributions have shaped the nation's past and will remain vital to its future.

The prime minister also invited Christian entrepreneurs and investors in the diaspora to participate in Iraq's reconstruction, particularly in the healthcare and education sectors. He pledged continued government support to help ensure the success of these investment projects, stimulate economic growth, and generate employment.

Patriarch Nona welcomed the initiative, saying it sends a strong message of reassurance to Iraqi Christians abroad, strengthens confidence in the country's future, and encourages business leaders to contribute to the country's development.

Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Nicodemus Matti Sharaf also welcomed the appeal, describing it as an official recognition of Christians’ rightful place in their ancestral homeland. However, he cautioned that symbolic invitations alone would not reverse decades of emigration.

Taking The Bold Moves!

OLDEST CHURCH IN KENYA: Krapf Church in Rabai. In August 1844, Krapf met 12 Kaya elders led by Jindwa Mwanesa. Johann Rebmann joined him in 1846. They bought 91 acres of land by paying a cow and a calf. The cow was slaughtered. Its skin used to measure the church compound.
The building began in late 1846 through to 1847; Krapf himself conducted the first sermon in the church in 1846. People would come to pray but would not hear anything about converting to Christianity because of the reverence they had for the traditional Rabai religion.

Between 1848 and 1851, Krapf managed to get only one convert who was a crippled, sickly man called Mringi. Not long after being converted, Mringi died and Christianity was back to zero with no tangible results for years.

John Rebmann was the first to venture into the interior and went as far as Kilimanjaro, a time, which Krapf built his residential house. Krapf built an upper house, which served as the church office. Rebmann also built his house, which was more of a classroom.
Krapf ventured as far as Usambara in northeastern Tanzania. He introduced formal education. When Krapf went back to Europe, Rebmann took over the task of evangelization and built the current church between 1883 and 1887; 35 years after the first church had been built.

kids club, every child is a candidate to be shown love, respect, God’s word, and to be protected at all cost. Every neighborhood has a child that should be trained in the way s/he should go; the only way is in the scriptures. We have a mandate and a calling to show them truth.

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.(Col 2)
