Our Organisation is currently represented at the ongoing training on Media and Information Literacy (MIL). In today's complex digital landscape, the ability to discern fact from fiction is paramount, especially in our mission to combat stigma and misinformation surrounding mental health and community development. This training is not just about digital skills,it's about empowering our team to be critical information consumers and ethical communicators. They are learning advanced techniques to identify, verify, and responsibly share content, ensuring that every message we deliver is rooted in accuracy and hope. We can't wait to integrate these vital MIL tools across all our programs to better serve our community and foster a more informed and resilient society! Nyaboke Ruth Cissy Katusiime Divinah Henry

We're thrilled to share that we( Threshold of Hope Africa) will be taking part in the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) training, a program that aligns perfectly with our vision and mission for mental health advocacy.

In today’s digital world, the way we consume, interpret, and share information directly affects our well-being, confidence, and emotional balance. We're looking forward to learn how MIL can be used as a tool to promote healthier online spaces and support mental wellness, especially for young people.

With this training, we will gain new skills, connect with fellow changemakers, and strengthen the work we do at Threshold of Hope Africa (ToHA) in creating safe, informed, and mentally healthy communities.

Happy International Men’s Day
Celebrating Men’s Mental Health, Strength & Well-being.

Today, we honor the men in our lives ;
Our fathers, brothers, partners, colleagues, and friends.
Men who carry silent battles.
Men who show strength even when they feel weak.
Men who love, protect, and provide often without a safe space to express their own needs.

This Men’s Day, we shine a light on men’s mental health and holistic wellbeing

💚 Mental Health Matters

Many men are raised to “be strong,” “hold it together,” or “never show weakness.”
But true strength is in opening up, seeking help, and allowing yourself to feel.

’s okay to struggle.
’s okay to ask for support.
’s okay to not be okay all the time.

💚 Emotional Well-being

Men deserve spaces where they can express hurt, fear, joy, and hope without judgment.
You don’t have to suppress your emotions to be valued or respected.

💚 Physical Well-being

Taking care of your body is an act of self-love:

rest
-ups
Your body is your vessel treat it with care.

💚 Social Well-being

Healthy connections matter.
Build friendships.
Talk to someone you trust.
Lean on your support system you’re not meant to walk alone.

💚 Spiritual Well-being

Whether through prayer, meditation, nature, or reflection, connect with whatever brings you peace and purpose.

To all men:

We see you.
We appreciate you.
We celebrate your courage, your vulnerability, and your humanity.

You deserve healing, happiness, and a full life —inside and out.

In our fast-paced world, we often focus on productivity, deadlines, and results but forget one crucial truth, our mental health is the foundation of everything we do

Mental health isn’t just about the absence of illness; it’s about emotional resilience, balance, and the ability to thrive. Whether you’re a leader, employee, student, or entrepreneur, your well-being directly impacts your creativity, relationships, and performance.

Three reminders for today;

1. Check in with yourself— it’s okay to pause.
2. Reach out — connection is a lifeline.
3. Offer grace— to yourself and others.

At Threshold of Hope Africa, we are committed to breaking the stigma around mental health by providing safe spaces, counseling, and advocacy for mental wellness in our communities. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to heal, grow, and live fully.

💚 Your mental health matters always. Not when something comes up

Prioritizing Mental Health Awareness in Our Communities

Mental health is as vital as physical health yet it often receives less attention. At Threshold of Hope Africa, we believe in fostering a society where conversations about mental well-being are normalized, stigma is broken, and support is accessible to all.

Through awareness, education, and compassionate action, we aim to create spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported.

Together for a healthier mind.

If you share our passion for mental health advocacy, we welcome your collaboration, ideas, and partnership. Let’s work together to build healthier communities in Africa and beyond.

Mental health is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.
We often say, “Check on your strong friends,” but the truth is—we all need someone to check in At Threshold of Hope Africa, we've seen how invisible wounds can be the heaviest. Depression, anxiety, and burnout don’t always show on the outside, but their impact can be life-altering.

That’s why support systems—whether it’s a listening friend, a trusted therapist, a faith community, or even a mental health support group—make a world of difference. Healing isn’t meant to happen in isolation.

Let’s normalize:
✅ Asking for help
✅ Talking about our mental health
✅ Creating safe spaces for others to be heard without judgment

Your mental health matters—and so does your neighbor’s.
Together, we can build a culture of empathy, care, and support.
