TB champions play a big role in TB management at community level. today TB champions joined the TB screening outreach at ngoriba supported by Respiratory Society of Kenya Department of Health Services - Kiambu County and Centre for Health Solutions - Kenya (CHS) through the vumbua project. they helped with sensitization and mobilization of community.

Today our TB champions from thika conducted a health sensitization at kamenu primary school.this is geared towards ensuring that everyone in our society knows the right information about TB starting from children to the elderly.this was supported by Respiratory Society of Kenya and NTLDKenya through our subcounty TB and lung coordinator.we remain committed to ending TB by the year 2030.

our TB champions lead took the stage to sensitize clinicians and nurses on TB during the sensitization on Immunization preventable diseases at ngorongo Health Centre hall. during the session he got a chance to emphasize on the need for health care workers to take TB preventative treatment (TPT) since they are predisposed to TB while serving the community in the facilities.

TB champions in kabete subcounty conducted a sensitization walk from mwimuto,kingeero all the way to wangige where they spread the message of "TB is preventable and curable" to the community. the team was joined by NSDCC, kingeero OCS, D.C.C, SCTLC, Family bank and CHPs . from the walk, we saw 15 persons who came for screening.
