David Nyutu visited Nasere springs as of today and he reported that , the tree survival rate is good, which is encouraging and shows positive progress in our restoration efforts.

It was also observed that animals have stopped accessing the spring, an important development that will help protect the recovering vegetation and allow the newly planted trees and surrounding ecosystem to regenerate.

We will continue monitoring the site and support the trees to ensure they survive and contribute to the long-term restoration and protection of Nasere Springs.

GREETING GRENNING OLOITOKITOK FAMILY! 🌱

We are excited to announce that Greening Oloitokitok will be participating in the Agitech Grand Expo – Kajiado County Edition 2026, taking place on 13th August 2026 at Kiwanja ya Ndege, Oloitokitok.

This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the work we are doing in our community, particularly in tree planting, environmental conservation, climate action, sustainable agriculture and protection of our water sources. 🌳💧🌍

We will have an opportunity to showcase some of our achievements, connect with different organizations, partners, farmers and other stakeholders, and share our vision for a greener and more sustainable Oloitokitok.

We encourage all Greening Oloitokitok members and volunteers to support us and, where possible, come and be part of this important event.

Together, we can showcase the impact we are making and build stronger partnerships for our community. 💚🌱

Yesterday 06/07/2026, Greening Oloitokitok proudly raised its flag high in Nyeri County by planting 10 trees to commemorate the dowry ceremony of our member, Mr. Muiruri (Esoit bookshop)

This symbolic tree-planting activity reflects our commitment to making every special occasion an opportunity to give back to nature and leave a lasting environmental legacy.

Although Nyeri is already known as one of Kenya's green counties, many people were delighted and inspired to see how Greening Oloitokitok incorporates tree planting into celebrations such as dowry ceremonies. It was a wonderful opportunity to share our conservation culture and encourage others to adopt the same tradition.

Together, we continue proving that every celebration can also be a gift to the environment—one tree at a time.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Jackson and Mzee Nkurao!

Greening Oloitokitok Initiative extends its sincere appreciation to our dedicated member, mr Jackson, for his generous donation of a backpack sprayer to support our tree nursery operations in Entonet.

The sprayer will play a vital role in protecting our seedlings from pests and diseases, helping us improve their health, survival, and growth. This contribution will strengthen our nursery operations and support our mission of restoring our environment, one tree at a time.
