Last August, we had the privilege of transforming learning at school No. 8 of the Digital Literacy Program (DLP), Nairobi South Primary School, which was made possible by our project sponsor, our very own Rtn Marlon Lugadiru.
Founded in 1954 to serve the growing Nairobi South community, Nairobi South Primary has long been a hub for foundational education, shaping young minds and futures for decades. Today, that legacy continues, now strengthened with access to digital tools and opportunities.
Through the DLP, the school received a fully equipped, secure computer lab with 25 computers (24 for students, 1 for the teacher), a projector, printer, inverter & UPS, furniture, and robust security systems. Beyond the infrastructure, the program includes licensed software, KICD-approved content, teacher training, and ongoing support ensuring learners are not just introduced to technology, but empowered to use it confidently.
We also spent the day engaging in mentorship sessions, tree planting, and sharing dignity packs creating a holistic experience that nurtures both minds and community.
This is what impact looks like: equipping, empowering, and investing in the future one school at a time. ๐ก
