We had great learning sessions in Oloitoktok over the course of 3 days in collaboration with ForumCiv Eastern & Southern Africa through the PPDP programme. We engaged 20 representatives to strengthen the foundations that enable community-based tourism organisations to grow sustainably.

The governance training focused on practical skills in leadership and organisational management, financial accountability and compliance, partnerships and marketing, tourism product development and sustainable growth. The training created space for CBTOs to identify their own organisational gaps and challenges and work towards practical solutions.

Through the Training of Trainers approach, youth and community trainers were equipped to take these lessons back to their respective groups, helping to cascade learning and build capacity for their local groups.
