Real and lasting change begins when young people are empowered to lead.
We proudly celebrate 28 newly trained Peer Counselors at KE 624 Gede CDC, a Compassion frontline church partner on the Coast of Kenya. Through our Tusemezane Initiative, these young leaders have been equipped to provide peer support, promote mental well-being, and create safe spaces where fellow young people feel heard, valued, and supported.
This is more than a training—it is an investment in the future of our communities. Every Peer Counselor represents another young leader committed to breaking the stigma around mental health, fostering resilience, and inspiring hope. We are grateful to everyone who made this milestone possible and look forward to the lasting impact these young leaders will make in their schools, churches, and communities.
