Door-to-Door Environmental Sensitization

Today, Baha Madzo Gadze for Charity, in collaboration with village elders through the Assistant Chief’s Office, conducted a door-to-door environmental sensitization campaign.

We engaged households on responsible waste management, including waste separation at source and proper disposal at designated municipal areas.

Together, we are building cleaner, healthier and more responsible communities.

🌍 Baha Madzo Gadze for Charity held a community sensitization meeting at the Assistant Chief’s Office in Mnarani Ward, bringing together village elders, ambassadors, and community members to address illegal dumping and poor environmental practices in rental homes.

The session focused on waste segregation, environmental responsibility, and awareness of relevant waste-management laws. We also agreed to conduct door-to-door sensitization and environmental check-ups to promote accountability and healthier living spaces.

Baha Madzo Gadze for Charity joined the Municipality of Kilifi, under the leadership of Mwango Kalu, alongside stakeholders and members of the Mnarani community at Mkwajuni Polytechnic for a public participation forum. The session was graced by the Area MCA and the CECM for Land, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Jane Kamto, who emphasized the importance of community participation in shaping municipal services.

During the forum, residents shared their views on solid waste management, municipal fare regulations, land use, and physical planning, while also highlighting priorities for the next financial year, including improved roads and drainage, expanded street lighting, and enhanced service delivery.

As an organization committed to environmental conservation and community development, Baha Madzo Gadze for Charity values such engagements, which strengthen collaboration and promote a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Kilifi.
