Kesho Kenya advances access to quality education and supports students to thrive to their full potential. Part of our initiative is reaching out to children with reading gaps, helping them strengthen their foundation literacy skills and improve educational outcomes. Together We Can End Tuberculosis (TB)
TB remains one of the world's leading infectious diseases, but it is preventable, treatable, and curable when detected early.
Kesho Kenya in partnership with AMREF Health Africa, we are committed to raising awareness about TB, promoting early screening, reducing stigma, and connecting communities with quality healthcare services through community outreach, school sensitization, and health education. We are empowering individuals with the knowledge to recognize TB symptoms and seek timely medical care.
Every conversation about TB saves lives. Every screening creates hope. Every person who completes treatment brings us one step closer to a TB-free community.
Together let us stand united in the fight against TB and build healthier and stronger communities for everyone.

As schools close for the term, Kesho Kenya remains committed to walking alongside every young person in our care. Next week, we are honored to host a Mentorship and Student Appraisal Program for our 104 students sponsored beneficiaries.
This initiative is more than just an end-of-term gathering,it's an opportunity to inspire, encourage, and equip our students with the knowledge, life skills, confidence, and values they need to become responsible leaders and changemakers in their communities. Through mentorship, personal reflection, and appraisal, we celebrate their achievements, assess their progress, and help them set meaningful goals for the future.
At Kesho Kenya, we firmly believe that investing in education alone is not enough. Every child deserves guidance, encouragement, and positive role models to unlock their full potential. We are proud to nurture these bright young minds and prepare them for a better tomorrow.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated mentors, partners, sponsors, and donors whose unwavering support continues to transform lives. Your generosity is creating opportunities, restoring hope, and shaping a generation that will positively impact society.
Together, we are building futures, empowering dreams, and creating lasting change.
A better tomorrow begins today.

Our Kesho Kenya team recently took part in an Eye Screening and Community Eye Health Training Program!

This training brought together our staff, partner CBOs, and new members being onboarded all working together to strengthen how we deliver eye care at the community level.

Held in collaboration with The Fred Hollows Foundation , the training focused on building skills in eye screening, identifying common eye conditions and referring patients for further care.

As a team based in Kilifi County, we're especially excited about the opportunity to bring these lessons home and we look forward to deepening our partnership with Fred Hollows Foundation to strengthen eye health services for communities right here in Kilifi.

Have you or someone you know benefited from a community eye screening? Tell us in the comments.

Today, on World TB Day, we are reminded that ending tuberculosis is not only a medical effort, it is a collective responsibility.

At Kesho Kenya, we believe that access to the right information is just as important as access to treatment.

Across our communities, TB continues to be affected by stigma, silence, and delayed health-seeking behaviour. Many people still struggle to recognize symptoms early or feel safe enough to come forward and seek care.

Through community engagement, we have seen the power of:

Trusted community voices
Safe spaces that encourage openness and reduce stigma

Ending TB requires more than awareness. It requires trust, understanding, and consistent engagement with the people most affected.

As we mark today, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening community-led approaches that empower individuals with knowledge, encourage early action, and promote dignity in care.

Together, we can end TB.

Kesho Kenya participated in a two-day Advocacy Workshop to write and review the Draft Kilifi County Adolescent and Young People (AYP) Health Strategy (2025–2030).

The workshop, supported by The East African Centre for Human Rights - EACHRights and convened in collaboration with the Kilifi CSO Health Thematic Group led by Youth Voices & Action Initiative and Kilifi Department of Health and Sanitation Services, brought together civil society organizations and county government stakeholders to jointly review and validate the draft strategy. Participants provided technical and experiential input and built consensus toward its adoption, budgeting, and effective implementation.

The workshop strengthened collaboration and shared accountability in advancing adolescent and young people’s health and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) priorities in Kilifi County.

Kesho Kenya remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and foster thriving, healthy communities.

For 13 years, Chris and Katy have faithfully supported Kesho Kenya by sponsoring children through school and walking alongside us in our mission to build brighter futures.
We are delighted to welcome them to Kenya. During their visit, they generously donated stationery and educational games for our Resource Center, along with shoes and glasses in support of our broader community efforts.

These contributions go beyond material support, they reflect care, consistency, and a deep belief in the work we do.

Thank you, Chris and Katy, for standing with us for over a decade. Your impact continues to be felt in meaningful ways.
