Tandaza Foundation is proud to report that the Tandaza Trust Women League 3rd Edition ended on a high note after three bright students were identified and awarded full school fee sponsorships. The beneficiaries were scouted during the thrilling finals held at Changamwe, reaffirming the Foundation’s continued commitment to nurturing young talent and advancing education.

The three students who secured full school fees sponsorship are Betty Amos who has transitioned from Lukore Junior to Bishop Utundo (Tongareni), Mkambe Fari who moved from Lukore Junior to Changamwe Senior and Eunice Mwanzala Mzungu, who advanced from Minyalatsoni Junior to Bishop Utundo Girls.

Tandaza Foundation has also stepped in to support the students with additional educational expenses under the patronage of Hon. Kassim Tandaza. This milestone reflects the Foundation’s unwavering dedication to empowering the girl child and uplifting the community through education-focused interventions.

In partnership with Tandaza Waqf, We successfully hosted the 6th Edition Mass Wedding Ceremony on 7th february 2026, bringing together 327 couples from Kwale County and beyond. The event aimed at promoting family values, social dignity and accessible marriage for couples drawn from diverse communities across the Coast region.

The ceremony was graced by senior religious leaders led by Sheikh Sukyan Hassan, Acting Chief Kadhi of Kenya alongside Sheikh Izudin Alwy, Imam of Masjid Shibu, Mombasa. Their presence and guidance highlighted the spiritual importance of marriage and the role of faith-based initiatives in strengthening society.

The event also attracted national and county leadership, including Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani, Government Deputy Spokesperson Mwanaisha Chudzuga, Nominated Senator Raphael Chimera and other local leaders. Tandaza Foundation remains committed to community empowerment and impactful partnerships that uplift families and promote social cohesion.

The Tandaza Trust Women’s under-sixteen Football Team from Matuga Constituency was yesterday officially flagged off for a four-day tournament in Changamwe. The send-off drew excitement from players, coaches and supporters all eager to see the team showcase their growing strength and unity.

This tournament offers the girls an important platform for exposure, allowing them to compete with new teams and gain experience beyond their home grounds. It also provides a valuable chance for networking, connecting them with other players, mentors, and football stakeholders from across the region.

Today,the Tandaza Foundation led by its Chairman Hon.Kassim Tandaza hosted its fifth edition of the Mass Wedding Initiative under Tandaza Waqf where an impressive 270 couples exchanged vows.This annual event which has become a symbol of love and unity brings together couples from various counties offering them not just the opportunity to marry but also the support they need to start their new lives together.The ceremony was a joyful celebration of community and commitment with couples receiving gifts and support to help them build strong stable families.

The event was graced by several key leaders including Msambweni MP Hon.Feisal, Changamwe MP Hon.Omar Mwinyi,Coast parliamentary group chairperson Hon.Mwashakwa,Nominated senator Hon.Miraj,Kwale County Women Representative Hon.Fatuma Masito,Kwale County Governor Her Excellence Fatuma Achani,Deputy Government Spokesperson Hon.Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Cabinet Secretary for Youth affairs,Creative economy and sports.Among the distinguished guests was the Chief Kadhi of Kenya,Sheikh Abdulhalm Hussein who served as the Chief Guest.

Tandaza Trust's Visit: Empowering Lukore Starlets and Local Football Communities.

Earlier today, the Tandaza Trust Football Women’s League Committee visited the Lukore Starlets, who had secured second place in the Season Two finals held on December 28, 2024, at Kwale Libra Ground. The committee's visit was part of their commitment to support the team, delivering football materials, including balls and jerseys, to help the players continue their journey.

In addition to the sports equipment, the committee promised to support the education of young women interested in pursuing both football and academics. This initiative was met with excitement, as many of the players hope to balance their passion for football with further studies.

Later that day, the committee visited Mkongani Ward to meet with the local grassroots committee. Their focus was on strengthening the community’s involvement in women's football and ensuring that young women have the resources and opportunities to excel on and off the field.

This evening marked the exciting launch of the Tandaza Trust Women Football League at the Kwale Libra grounds.

The event brought together leaders, organizations, and football enthusiasts to celebrate the empowerment of women through sports.

The opening match saw Chinarini Queens edge past Tariq Starlets with a narrow 1-0 victory.

Gracing the occasion was H.E. Governor Fatuma Achani, Hon. Kassim Sawa Tandaza, CECM Social Services and Talent Management Hon. Fransisca Kilonzo, and other County officials

Also present were representatives from Kenya Bixa, Samba Sports, Kwale-Tong-IL Moo-Do Club and the Kwale Youth Assembly.
