Last week, across five sub-counties of Kilifi, we successfully convened Sisi kwa Sisi one-day trainings with the support of UNICEF Kenya and the Kilifi Department of Health and Sanitation Serviceskilifi.

From Kilifi North & South, Rabai & Kaloleni, to Malindi, we onboarded new champions into the Youth Advisory Champions for Health (YACH)network. Together, we explored YAC’s vision, goals, thematic areas, and objectives ,strengthening leadership, reflecting on adolescent and youth health challenges, and building a strong movement for change.

Topics such as menstrual and personal hygiene, GBV, sexual health (STIs & UTIs), and adolescent development sparked rich discussions, proving that our champions are eager, competitive, and ready to drive impact, though continuous training will keep sharpening their skills.

With one purpose and shared commitment, we are shaping a future where young people lead the way in advancing health and well-being in Kilifi County.

After the resounding success of YOTTA Tour Phase 1, we are BACK with PHASE 2; Bigger, Better, and More Impactful
Over the past two weeks, the tour has reached learning institutions, health facilities, and communities across Kilifi County; strategically mapped based on vulnerability data. With Adolescents and Young People (AYPs) being disproportionately affected by the Triple Threat, the need for urgent action has never been clearer.

Through meaningful conversations, peer learning, and safe spaces, this tour is not just raising awareness. it’s helping curb the spread, reduce stigma, and connect AYPs to youth-friendly services.
We extend our gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and young champions who continue to walk with us in this bold movement for change. Let’s continue to invest in youth, amplify their voices, and dismantle the Triple Threat, community by community.
