What does real youth led change look like when we pause, reflect, and relearn together?

This week, we converged our youth advocates from Malindi, Kilifi North, and Kaloleni sub-counties for a powerful Focus Group Discussion under the Nisaidie Usinidhuru .

Together, we celebrated the progress made in strengthening PACand post-rape care services, expanding safe spaces for young people, and the tangible impact these efforts continue to create in our communities. We also honestly examined the challenges faced and co-created practical recommendations to keep moving forward.

A heartfelt thank you to African Population and Health Research Center for leading this insightful FGD,partners Kilifi County Government Depertment of health, Reproductive Health Network ,Rutgers International , AmplifyChange , ANGAZA YOUTH INITIATIVE .We are proud to have supported this process and remain fully committed to deepening our partnership as we amplify youth voices and advance quality, compassionate care.

What happens when young people are given the tools to create, speak, and lead?

We’re truly inspired by the learners at Youth voices and Action Initiative .Through the Youth Voices digital skills program, implemented in partnership with SHOFCO , they’ve mastered high end videography, graphic design, AI animation, photography, and filmmaking turning creativity into powerful expression and real opportunity.

Each story shows that when young people, especially those from marginalized groups, are equipped with skills, platforms,and guidance, they don’t just build their own futures. They become unstoppable forces of innovation, advocacy,and community change.

This is what Youth Voices and Action Initiative looks like in practice opportunity unlocked,voices amplified,and communities uplifted.

Peek into Day 1 of our Digital Skills Training

At YVAI Office, passionate young people aged 18–35 kicked off the YVAI-SHOFCO Digital Skills Project with theory and practical sessions in Photography, Videography, Animation, and Film Making.

From framing the perfect shot to bringing stories to life through the lens the energy and creativity in the room were truly inspiring!

We are deeply grateful to SHOFCO for the continued support that makes this opportunity possible for our youth.

Africa Recharged: Youth Power, Bold Voices, Real Change.

Africa doesn’t need another generation waiting to lead Africa is ready for youth leadership.

Youth Voices and Action Initiative joined other youth leaders from across Africa at the Billi Now Now Youth Summit 2026 for three days of bold ideas, cross border connections, and youth led solutions.

From SRHR and gender justice to economic agency, climate action, technology, and meaningful participation in decision making, young leaders from across the continent are not just in the room they’re shaping the agenda.

This is more than a summit.
It’s a movement.
It’s the Youth Voices and Action Initiative in full force, turning ideas into impact and ensuring Africa’s young people are not only heard, but leading.

Youth Voices and Action Initiative continues to drive youth led advocacy for stronger RMNCAH systems across Kilifi County.

This week, we convened sub-county level legal literacy and awareness creation forums targeting, youth representatives, community leaders and healthcare providers to disseminate the RMNCAH Act while collecting inputs that will in inform the development of the RMNCAH regulations being a journey toward operationalization of the Act.

We recently gathered with the Board of Advisors and the dedicated staff of Youth Voices and Action Initiative (Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI) ) for a powerful and inspiring session.

Together,we reflected on the remarkable journey of YVAI celebrating individual and collective progress,discussion on our key policies,and tracking the significant strides we’ve made toward our bold Vision 2030.

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to empowering adolescent girls and young women through transformative leadership development,SRHR advocacy, life skills training, and sustainable community impact across coastal Kenya and beyond.

Binti Pwani cluster (Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI) & Youth for Sustainable devp. ) was pleased to host the Children Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (Children’s Rights & Violence Prevention Fund ) at YVAI HQ office for a program compliance and finance support visit to the Binti Pwani Cluster.

The visit highlighted our partnership journey since 2022 and the collective impact of building adolescent girls power to prevent violence, make informed choices, and access safe and dignified livelihood opportunities.

Together, we have reached over 1,000 adolescent girls and young women, creating lasting change in our communities.
