Have you ever wondered what happens when youth voices, healthcare workers, religious leaders, and community champions unite for change?

Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI) & EACHRights recently came together for a powerful engagement focused on RMCAH & SRHR.
We reflected on the meaningful progress made since our previous meeting, celebrated key achievements, openly confronted the challenges that remain, and strengthened our shared commitment to action.

This gathering brought together healthcare workers, organizations and partners, religious leaders, and community health workers all united in the belief that every young person’s sexual and reproductive health and rights matter.

Together, we moved beyond dialogue and laid the foundation for stronger, more inclusive action.

Strong SRHR movements need connected grassroots leadership and sustained collective action.

Today,through the Her Voice Project -Furthering Health Rights, Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI) convened 40 participants from grassroots feminist organizations, youth SRHR champions, and activists to strengthen movement building through a community of practice. Supported by Reproductive Health Network and Int'l Planned Parenthood Fed. Ippf Aro under GAC Global EmpowHER, the gathering created space to exchange experiences, identify and mentor reproductive health rights champions, and strengthen collaboration.

Our discussions explored how to recognize and respond to SRHR opposition, amplify champions’ voices, and connect community experiences with collective advocacy.

For Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI) , building a community of practice means investing in relationships that sustain advocacy beyond a single meeting so grassroots feminists and young people can shape decisions affecting their health, rights, and futures. Turning Passion Into Practical Skills..
Yesterday, we had an amazing and highly practical session with our Youth Voices & Action Initiative Digital Skills Cohort 2 trainees, taking their filmmaking skills to the next level.

Our trainees explored the key foundations of professional filmmaking,including the Exposure Triangle mastering ISO,shutter speed,and aperture for better-looking footage, Composition , Camera Angles, framing and how camera positioning can transform a story.

At YVAI, we are not just teaching theory we are equipping young people with practical skills they can use to create, work and build opportunities in the creative industry.

When a young person can freely access accurate information, confidential counselling, and contraceptive options they can choose from without judgment,stigma,or barriers they gain the power to shape their own futures.

Youth Voices and Action Initiative believes this must change. We encourage young people everywhere to speak up: ask the questions that matter, seek out reliable counselling and evidence-based information, share knowledge with peers, and refuse to accept stigma as normal.

Together with other stakeholders, we joined in commemorating World Contraception Day 2026. When youth raise their voices and take collective action, barriers begin to fall. Choice becomes possible.

Youth Voices and Action Initiative joined the Kilifi County Annual Development Plan 2027/2028 stakeholder meeting, convened by the Kilifi CSOs Network and PELUM Kenya

The forum provided a key platform to advance RMNCAH and nutrition priorities, stressing transparency, equitable allocation, public participation, and accountability to ensure development investments in agriculture to respond to the health and nutrition needs of young people, mothers, children, and communities in Kilifi.

How can Kilifi families thrive when population,health,and the environment are treated as separate issues?

Youth Voices & Action initiative (YVAI), together with NCPD_KENYA , CSA Kenya and other stakeholders, joined a powerful Population, Health and Environment Community Dialogue

The conversation centred on sustainable population growth, the impact of climate change on reproductive health, the urgent need for El Nino preparedness, and the critical role of Community Health Promoters in advancing awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and RMNCAH services.

The message was clear when young people and families can plan their futures, when communities access quality reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health services, and when we safeguard our environment together, we build lasting resilience.
