Yesterday, Youth Voices and Action Initiative (YVAI), in partnership with the Department of Health Kilifi, APHRC, and KELIN, convened a high-level inception meeting to advance the implementation of the RMNCAH Act in Kilifi County.
The convening brought together county leadership, researchers, legal experts, and community actors to align priorities, strengthen accountability frameworks, and co-create actionable pathways for improving sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health outcomes.
Through evidence from the Nisaidie Usinidhuru study and grounded community insights, we are bridging the gap between policy and lived realities ensuring that systems respond to the needs of women, girls, and young people.
This marks a critical step toward coordinated action, where data, law, and community voices drive sustainable change in health systems.
