What is Health, Really?
Lately, everything has changed. But we still learn that health is achievable. Not through pharmaceuticals, not through fancy supplements, but through our emotions.
Real health is the ability to feel all your feelings and process them without shame or guilt.
That’s it!
Yet today, we live in a world that has mastered distraction more than feeling.
We distract ourselves from how we feel through:
endless scrolling and binge-watching, food,
alcohol and unhealthy social circles, and even new “wellness” vocabularies like “detachment, art of silence and “stoicism, ,” which are often misunderstood and misused to justify emotional avoidance.
What’s really happening underneath all this is training—training ourselves not to feel.
And while I won’t get into the neuroscience, here’s what we now know: every suppressed, neglected, ignored, or distracted feeling creates a tiny imbalance in the body. Over time, these imbalances accumulate and manifest as disease. When this pattern continues across generations, it becomes a lineage of illness.
So if you truly want to heal, or even to change the story of health in you or your family, start by feeling.
Learn to sit with your sadness, your fear, your anger, your grief without rushing to fix or hide them.
Because emotional fluency is the real foundation of health.
Health starts with honesty, with how we feel.
