The journey of the Tazama Mbele Women Group is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when women come together with a shared purpose and determination to build a better future. Through unity, support, and a willingness to learn, the group embraced our two-month entrepreneurship training under the economic empowerment program and successfully graduated with valuable skills that will help shape their next chapter.
Today, we celebrate how far they’ve come. The group is now officially registered, made up of 16 resilient and hardworking members determined to create lasting change in their lives and community. We are also excited to have supported them with funding that they will loan among themselves to help boost their agribusinesses, creating more opportunities for growth, stability, and financial independence within the group.
Stories like this remind us that empowerment begins with community, consistency, and women believing in the possibilities ahead of them. And for the Tazama Mbele Women Group, this is only the start of an even greater journey.

We were honored to visit three schools we work with in Homa Bay County, reaching over 200 students through mentorship sessions that honestly felt deeper than just a visit. Joined by Jocelin from our USA board 🇺🇸🇰🇪, we created spaces for open conversations, reflection, and growth.
From building a “relationship web” that showed how deeply we’re all connected, to honest discussions about what makes relationships healthy, the students showed courage, vulnerability, and wisdom.
We explored respect, trust, boundaries, and the strength it takes to say no, whether it’s peer pressure, unhealthy friendships, or choices that could derail their future. Through role play and reflection, one message stood out clearly: confidence protects your path.
As the sessions came to an end, each student reflected on the kind of friend they want to be, the boundaries they’ll set, and the values they’ll stand for. Moments like these remind us why mentorship and creating neural spaces for honest conversations matters.

When we first met the Kware Women Group, they were simply a group of determined women coming together to save, support each other, and grow with one another. Through our economic empowerment program, they committed to a two-month entrepreneurship training, and successfully graduated.
Today, we’re proud to celebrate a major milestone, the group is now officially registered, with 21 strong members ready to build their future together. Even more exciting, we’ve supported them with funding to launch their chair for hire business, creating a sustainable source of income for the group.
Moments like these remind us that real change takes time, consistency, and people who refuse to give up on themselves. The journey is just beginning . #2026

When we decided to launch in Samburu, we stepped into a reality we could not ignore. Too many girls are becoming mothers too early, facing teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, and limited opportunities.

Today, we celebrate a powerful milestone. The first group of 35 young mothers we have walked with over the past 3 months has officially received government registration. This is more than a certificate—it’s identity, dignity, and a doorway to opportunity.

We remain committed to walking this journey with them through training, seed capital, and market linkages—supporting them to build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their children.

Real, lasting change often starts when you are equipped with the right skills and a chance to put them into action.
The Loyal Sisters Women Group in Homa Bay County went through our training and chose to invest in a simple but powerful idea, hiring out chairs as a business. With the funding they received, they turned that idea into a steady source of income.
Today, that project is doing more than just generating revenue. It’s helping them support their families, and creating more stability in their lives.
Their journey shows that even simple ideas, when backed by skills and support, can grow into something meaningful and life-changing.

Sometimes, all it takes is a group of women choosing to support each other for real change to begin.
With the Blood Sisters Women Group in HomaBay County, it wasn’t just about entrepreneurship training, it was about opening doors. With the funding they received, they built something powerful together: a system where they lend each other money to grow their farming projects.
Today, that choice is paying off. Their farms are growing, their incomes are improving, and they’re able to better provide for their families.
It’s a reminder that when women come together, trust each other, and share what they have, they create opportunities not just for themselves, but for everyone around them.

“Building confident futures starts with knowing who you are.” Our HomaBay holiday mentorship on self-identity inspired young people to embrace their purpose and potential.

In a world that’s fast, digital, and transactional, we sometimes forget how powerful it is to simply sit down together.
During our two-day holiday mentorship in Homa Bay County, we created a space not just for learning but for real connection. Students came together across different backgrounds, sharing experiences, perspectives, and moments that truly mattered.
Through the “Identity Web” activity, they reflected on where they feel most like themselves and where it’s hardest to show up authentically.
Because when we listen, see, and connect with each other, we’re reminded that behind every journey is a human story filled with ideas, ambition, and meaning.

It was an honor to host Leon, the Head Chair of all CSOs in Homa Bay, at our 4th graduation ceremony.
Her presence and powerful words encouraged our women and youth graduates to put their newly acquired skills into meaningful action and create lasting impact in their communities. We are grateful for her support as we continue empowering lives and building brighter futures.
