During the Jamhuri Thematic Week, our poet Hope wambui proudly represented the organization at the Wildlife, Tourism, and MICE event held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Standing not only as a creative voice but also as an ambassador for Savannah Slum Kids.
She used poetry to celebrate magical with it diverse unique culture while creating awareness on wildlife conservation.
She was a voice of children from underserved communities, linking culture, conservation, and tourism to the dreams of the next generation.
The event was graced by the Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary for Wildlife and Tourism, the Director General of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), private sector stakeholders, and Kenyans from all walks of life.
Through her performance, Hope embodied the spirit of Jamhuri showcasing how art can inspire conservation awareness, promote sustainable tourism, and position young people from informal settlements as active contributors to Kenya’s national narrative.
