Yesterday,CITAM Athi River hosted us alongside our Ability Band. We had the incredible honor of leading worship and music in both services during their Disability Sunday. We are deeply grateful to the church leadership, led by Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jacob Kimathi, the Challengers Ministry, and the entire congregation. Their intentional commitment to deep inclusion and serving Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their families truly models what it means to build spaces of dignity and hope.
Many families affected by disability struggle to find a spiritual home. Often, it is not because churches don’t care, but simply because they aren’t sure where to start. We want to partner with your church to build spaces of true dignity and hope. We will walk alongside your leadership team in three practical ways:
1. Train Your Leaders: We provide hands-on, simple training to help your pastors, children's workers, and volunteers feel fully confident in welcoming and serving persons with disabilities.
2. Create Spaces to Belong: We will help you design services where persons with disabilities aren't just sitting in the congregation, but are actively empowered to use their gifts to lead and serve.
3. Support the Whole Family: Life with a disability can be isolating. We help your church become a safe, supportive family where parents and caregivers are deeply known, loved, and spiritually fed.
