The objectives of this organization include:
i).To provide assistive devices for persons with disabilities in our society. ii).To support economic empowerment of persons who are challenged in our midst. iii).Create employment for persons with disabilities. iv).Promote social interaction between persons with disabilities. v).To provide guidance and counseling services through education, training an
d rehabilitation programmes. As an organization we are faced with many challenges in our efforts to accomplish the above set objectives. Among our challenges, just to list a few include: seclusion by the members of the community, lack of information to handle the disabled, nutrition, education facilities and more so active programmes to sustain the persons with financial up keep and employment. The organization (OPWD) is determined to overcome the above challenges through assistance from any interested persons, well wishers, potential NGO’s, any interested parties, groups and government agencies. It is our humble appeal to whoever may be concerned to assist the foundation with financial support towards acquiring devices such as clutches, wheel chairs, hearing aids, white canes, skin lotions for the light skinned and other necessary equipment for other persons with disabilities.
