About Kenscat Open Public Notice Board

This is an open public notice board facility wholly owned and operated by Kenya Network for Social Change and Transformation (Kenscat). The notice board facility is an affiliate program that falls under Kenscat's group of affiliate programs. The facility exists in two forms; physical notice boards elected in major towns around Kiambu County and this electronic form (e-Public Notice Board). The facility has been set up as a tool for Social Change and Transformation. Its main purpose is to advertise the works, operations and affairs of Kenscat as well as a variety of items and opportunities like job vacancies, careers, scholarships, internships, bursaries, and any other public advert or point of information meant for the general public consumption. The facility is therefore open to the general public and anyone can advertise anything as long as it is in line with the mission and objectives of Kenscat. Please find below a brief overview about Kenscat and its group of affiliate programs. "Service to the Community is Service to Self" ABOUT KENSCAT Kenya Network for Social Change and Transformation (Kenscat) is a youth empowerment and poverty eradication program. The program works toward empowering the youths through various empowerment programs, poverty eradication initiatives, networking and community mobilization efforts thereby giving the youths and vulnerable individuals the wings to fly. Kenscat is a non-profit making community project that works in partnership with other initiatives and affiliate programs to create a better and conducive society for the benefit of all. Objectives - Empower the youths and vulnerable individuals through creative and innovative programs and projects - Engage the youths and members of the community in programs targeted to benefit the society at large - To create extensive networks through collaboration and partnership with other like-minded bodies, organizations, institutions and partners for the benefit of the community - Use games, sports, talents and community involvement programs to bring about social change and transformation - To fight a host of social ills like crime, insecurity, poverty, youth idleness, drugs and substance abuse, school dropout, stigmatization, among many others - To create a conducive Kenyan society for the benefit of all - To work in tandem with Kenya’s vision 2030 so as to achieve Kenya’s set goals and targets Our Motto Service to the community is service to self Our Vision A better, friendly and conducive Kenyan society for the benefit of all Our Mission Youth empowerment and poverty eradication through extensive networking and community mobilization thereby giving youths and vulnerable individuals the wings to fly Our Empowerment Drive and Poverty Eradication Strategies We engage the youths, the vulnerable people and members of the society in various programs that are designed to empower them and free them up from entangle and chains of poverty. The various programs includes but not limited to: - Job hunt and application processing - Career guidance and advises - Networking to create a pool of opportunities - Self employment initiatives - Creative thinking for self growth - Talents and potentials for self growth - Science, technology and Innovation - Positive mind set education - Saving, financial and resource management - Educative programs and seminars - Mentorship and guidance programs - Spiritual Nourishment - Drugs and alcohol rehabilitation Among many many others Kenscat Structure To achieve the said objectives in an effective and efficient manner, Kenscat is broken down into smaller units of affiliate programs all working towards achieving Kenscat's mission and objectives and beyond. Kenscat also partners with other independent bodies, institutions, movements and organizations and takes pride to work together with any other like minded individual or entity in a bid to transform the society. Kenscat is structured as follows;

Kenya Network for Social Change and Transformation (Kenscat) - Kenscat is the main umbrella or mother program that houses all other smaller affiliate program associated with Kenscat or works together towards achieving the mission and objectives of Kenscat. Kenscat Jobs and Resource Center (KJRC) - The main objective of Kenscat is youth empowerment and poverty eradication. Kenscat therefore establishes a resource center inform of an office (KJRC) where the youths and vulnerable individuals are engaged in creative and innovative programs and activities that can empower and lead them out of poverty. The office coordinates all activities of Kenscat Kenscat Public Notice Board - A combination of both physical and electronic public notice boards that helps to create a pool of available opportunities, information and resources through open public advertisement of items like jobs, vacancies, career opportunities, scholarships, internships, bursaries, overseas opportunities and other important and valuable information/adverts. Kenscat Talent Center - A talent center that taps, harnesses, nurtures and exploits the talents and potentials of the young and gifted people exposing them to the world. The initiative is anchored in sports and game but spills over to many other areas like creative arts, music and drama festivals, poetry and oral narratives, science, technology and innovation, and many other such talent areas. - The future plan is to come up with ultra modern facilities like libraries, sports facilities, computer labs and empowerment centers all in the name of exploiting and exposing talents. Kenscat Young Professionals (KYP) - Student’s mentorship program dedicated to helping and enabling students to achieve their level best in their schools and academic work making them the professionals the society and the country expects them to be. Kiambu Lost & Found - An aggressive program that facilitates the recovery of lost items within Kiambu County by proving a central location and the mechanism where the lost & found items and other important valuables are facilitated. Kiambu is the pilot county as we plan to go nationwide. FöTE Foundation - A charitable organization designed to meet and cater for Kenscat activities and various other needs in the society.
