Kiambu Pamoja Trust (KPT) is a local development organization (LDO) co-created by civil society and private sector organizations representing the people of Kiambu; and the County Government of Kiambu. KPT is a community owned, community led and community managed umbrella body of Kiambu CSOs and aims to contribute to Kiambu development by creating agency and voice for the people. KPT works closely

The Kenya Devolution Support Program (KDSP) is a four-year program of USD 200M financed by the World Bank to support capacity building and technical assistance at the county level.

As the Flloca CSO Representative for Kiambu County, KPT attended a consultative meeting with various stakeholders to identify and discuss gaps in delivery of devolved services. This meeting was attended by CEC Administration and Public Service, with various county department directors from Health services, Fire services, Social Services, Climate Change & Environment Services. KPT represented the Civil Society.

Stakeholders present agreed that there was need to strengthen government systems in project management and service delivery through capacity building internally and externally and this should be done in collaboration with all.

FLLoCA stands for the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action program in Kenya, a five-year initiative by the Government of Kenya, supported by the World Bank, to empower county governments and local communities to develop and implement projects that build resilience to climate change impacts, such as water scarcity, food insecurity, and flooding.
KPT is the CSO FLLoCA representative for Kiambu County and was an attendee at a 3-day training in Nyeri County hosted by the Ministry of Treasury, where participants were sensitized on the Flloca project and developed various frameworks that will be useful in enhancing climate change activities oversight at the grassroots level.

KPT attended a training on social accountability hosted by KISANET in partnership with TISA. This training focused on how citizens can participate in ensuring accountability in how projects funded through the county budget are implemented.
These training forums have invited members form various CSOs across Kiambu County.

2025 Highlights

The theme for the 2025 "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence" campaign is "End digital violence against all women and girls". This campaign, led by UN Women and other partners, focuses on the alarming rise of violence against women in online spaces and calls for governments, tech companies, and individuals to take action to end it.

KPT partnered with department of Gender on hosting the event at Kiambu town. This was attended by various Civil Society Organisations as well as various County and National Government representatives from Gender, Education and Security departments and ministries

The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), is a global partnership dedicated to scientific research and innovation to achieve a food-secure future and reduce poverty, especially in developing countries. It unites research centers, organizations, and experts who focus on transforming food, land, and water systems to build resilience against climate change and improve human health, nutrition, and livelihoods.
CGIAR and the Kenyan Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) brought together the world’s leading scientists and decision-makers in agriculture, climate, and health for the very first CGIAR Science Week. This gathering was a key moment to advance research and innovation, inspire action, and establish critical partnerships that can secure investment in sustainable food systems to nourish both people and the planet. KPT attended this event to identify avenues for partnerships for its members while seeking for capacity-building opportunities.
