Mental health challenges affect millions of people, yet many still suffer in silence because of stigma and fear of judgment.

Anxiety, depression, stress, substance abuse, and burnout are becoming more common, especially among young people and working adults.

Seeking help is not weakness — it is strength. As a community let's:

▪️ Encouraging open conversations
▪️ Expanding access to counseling services
▪️ Promoting mental health education in schools and workplaces
▪️ Investing in affordable healthcare support

World AIDS Day 2025 reminds us that “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response” begins with confronting the barriers our young people face.

In Kiambu County, the call is clear: End AIDS in adolescents and young people.

As SHAK Kiambu, we highlight a truth often ignored persons with disabilities, including those with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, can also test positive for HIV.
They need the same access to youth-friendly testing, treatment, information and support.

A transformed AIDS response must be inclusive, accessible and stigma-free.
Let’s build a Kiambu where every young person with or without disability is protected, supported and empowered.”
