We're proud to have participated in an engagement meeting convened by Siasa Place, bringing together CBOs from Kericho County and a few from Kisumu County. The forum provided a valuable space to reflect on successes, address challenges, and share plans for the year ahead as we continue strengthening community-led advocacy and accountability.

Haki na Usawa is privileged to be represented in a Wellness training in Kisumu,proudly hosted by Siasa Place.
A national Gathering bringing together over 35 CBOs from across the country. This is Day one.

Driving change within our communities is meaningful work, but it can also be overwhelming,particularly for the young people who often shoulder this responsibility.

Mental wellness isn’t a final point you arrive at; it’s a continuous process of acknowledging hardships, working through difficulties, and making steady strides toward strength and restoration.

On Monday, 17/11/2025 the Kericho County Assembly shall hold its sitting at Ainamoi Polythecnic/ TTI at Ainamoi Ward under the Bunge Mashinani Initiative under the leadership of the CA Speaker Dr.Patrick C Mutai and CA DS Bett Cheruiyot. First of its kind.

Why does this Session Matter to Every Young person in Kericho County?

In this Sitting, the County Assembly shall hit the Last Nail on the Kericho County Youth Development Bill, 2024, a Bill drafted by the Youths from Kericho county and Sponsored by Hon Issack Matker.

What does the Bill seek to Cure?

The Bill seeks to streamline the Access to Employment and other Opportunities such as the Access and Compliance of the 30% procurement to Youths, women and Pwds, Creation and Nurturing of Talent through Sports and Arts as well as Rehabilitation of Youth affected by Substance and Drug Abuse across the County.

With Regards to Employment, the Bill seeks to create A Youth Board Domiciled in the relevant Department at the County Government. The Board shall be tasked with creating, updating and Maintaining a database of Youth across the County with their qualifications. Upon any Vacancy opening, the County Public Service Board shall be required to scout for potential employees from the database.

Kapsilangwa ECDE is now done and beginning next term, Learners shall enroll into a conducive environment for learning. This is not just a four Walled, decent and learner friend environment ECDE facility, it's the Aspiration of Article 43 on Economic and Social Rights as well as the Paramouncy Principle under Article 53 of the Constitution of Kenya on the Best Interest of a child.
