SHE BLOOMS DINNER | 10TH OCTOBER 2026 🌸
On 10th October 2026, we marked World Mental Health Day, observed globally by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Hosted at Cold Spring Hotel and organized by Artistic Bliss, the She Blooms Dinner brought together representatives from Hon. Kajwang Foundation, Galantine Care, and NG-CDF Suba North.
As an Addiction Champion, Founder and Executive Director of Tumaini Action CBO , I was honoured to share on “The Life’s Blueprint: Men’s Role in Creating Supportive Environments for Mental Health and Healing.”
Together, let’s break stigma, nurture healing, and build communities where everyone can bloom. 🌱

Strengthening Community Health Partnerships

Yesterday, Tumaini Action CBO had the privilege of hosting:

• Mrs. Nelly Egehiza, Principal Programme Manager, NSDCC – Homa Bay & Migori Counties
• Mr. Henry Ojwang, Multisectoral Coordinator, MOH – Homa Bay County
• Mr. Onesmus Okech, Multisectoral Coordinator, Rachuonyo North, MOH – Homa Bay County

Our engagement focused on the Triple Threat, adolescent safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, ASUD, and strengthening data-informed, community-led health interventions.

We also discussed sustainable livelihoods through smart agriculture as an important pathway to wellbeing. Creating opportunities for young people and vulnerable households to earn sustainable incomes, access nutritious food and build resilience can help address some of the social and economic factors that contribute to substance use, poor mental health and other health vulnerabilities.

We further explored integrating the Kendu Bay Dignity Half Marathon & Cycling Challenge 2.0 with World AIDS Day 2026, creating a stronger platform for health awareness, community mobilisation and prevention.

We sincerely appreciate their time, technical insights and commitment to strengthening Government–Non-State Actor collaboration for healthier and more resilient communities.
