Gender Based Violence remains a critical and escalating issue in our society. Through the “Safe Homes Safe Spaces “ initiative aimed at reducing incidents through awareness and legal reforms. The National GBV Taskforce today held a public participation .

Here are some of the recommendations highlighting key areas like :

*Legal and Policy Reforms. Strengthening .

*support services :Functional Safe-houses,including Psychosocial support , legal aid and Medical services.

* Community Involvement and Leadership.

* Adequate funding for GBV response and prevention programs at both National and County levels.

* Fast- track GBV and Femicide cases to avoid delays in justice.

*Establish a National GBV and Femiside observatory or Database to track cases, trends , and outcomes.

In Homa Bay County Day 1 :
we joined hands with CATAG to a multi-stakeholder and community engagement focused on strengthening the prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV). The meaningful dialogue and actionable collaboration brought together justice actors, county government of Homabay executive led by Chief Officer for Gender ,paralegals, male champions, community health promoters, parents, chiefs, faith leaders, and peer mentors to collectively assess gaps and chart a coordinated path forward.
