The graduation was attended by Giovanni Barbagli, AICS Representative in Chimoio; Rafael Nguenha, UNIDO Regional Coordinator; the E4Impact team; and the IPEME team, alongside ecosystem actors including financial service providers, banks, technical service providers, local incubators, and universities.

The program is a joint initiative of IPEME, IP, and UNIDO, with technical assistance from E4Impact Foundation, supporting the growth of competitive agroprocessing and agribusiness enterprises in Manica Province, Mozambique.

Congratulations to all the Cohort 2 graduates as they take their businesses into the next stage of growth. Over three days, enterprises participating in the AFR100 Kenya Incubation and Acceleration Programme came together for Bootcamp 3, focused on strengthening their businesses' legal and financial foundations.

Participants worked through business compliance, financial accounting and record-keeping, understanding financial information, financial management, and practical systems that support better business decisions.

The bootcamp also featured a Financial Information Session, where entrepreneurs engaged directly with financial service providers and other stakeholders on financing options, financial readiness, and the requirements institutions consider when assessing a business.

For restoration enterprises, strong business systems support growth, job creation, income generation, and long-term contribution to landscape restoration.

Bootcamp 3 marks another step in strengthening women, youth, Indigenous Peoples, forest and farm producer organizations, and other restoration-focused enterprises as they build resilient and investment-ready businesses.

Through AFR100, enterprise growth continues to support sustainable livelihoods and restore degraded landscapes.

In Kakuma, the pitch room became a meeting point for lived experience and local solutions. Youth-led organizations stepped forward with ideas for greener jobs, fairer workplaces, and a stronger youth voice in the world of work. Each pitch carried the imprint of the community it came from.

The shortlisted youth-led organizations took the stage to present their ideas under the Youth Leadership Lab Innovation Challenge, implemented by E4Impact Africa Foundation in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) PROSPECTS Programme.

The pitches brought forward locally grounded approaches to creating decent work, strengthening self-reliance, and expanding sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people across refugee and host communities.

Kakuma has set the pitch in motion, Next stop: Garissa County, where another group of youth-led organisations will step forward with solutions built from their own communities, experiences, and ambitions.

That shift is taking shape for 30 women-led agrifood enterprises from Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia Counties under the AWARE Programme.

The journey has moved from refining business models, customer segments and value propositions to sharpening how each enterprise presents itself to the market. Branding and marketing are now helping these businesses tell their story better, connect with customers and position themselves for new opportunities.

At the recently concluded ๐‘จ๐’‡๐’“๐’Š๐’„๐’‚ ๐‘ญ๐’๐’๐’… ๐‘บ๐’‰๐’๐’˜ ๐‘ฒ๐’†๐’๐’š๐’‚ 2026 at KICC Nairobi, the entrepreneurs showcased their products and brands alongside businesses from across Africaโ€™s food and agriculture value chains.

They met potential customers and partners, exchanged ideas, observed how other African enterprises package and position their products, and saw their own businesses through a much wider market lens.

And just like that, these businesses are moving to the next level, with clearer brands, stronger market confidence, and greater access to new opportunities.

We leave Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia with 30 women-led agribusinesses richer in brand, confidence, exposure, and market ambition.
